A few months ago, new and larger TV monitors were replaced in the front of the
Sanctuary, allowing for larger and brighter images for lyrics, sermon images, and videos.
That was followed by a new mixing board, already in use in the balcony, and some other

ESUMC’s Nursery/Preschool Moving Up Day

Last Sunday was a very special day for the ESUMC Nursery! About two years ago, ESUMC had a bit of a “baby
boom,” if you will, which required us to: reopen the infant side of the nursery, to expand our wonderful nursery
staff and to grow the number of ESUMC nursery volunteers. This past Sunday, we celebrated as those “babies,”
who are now officially toddlers, moved up to the preschool class! Those graduating include (photograph 1):
Charlotte Parrish, Charleigh Kuhnle, Ethan Marek and Alexander Thompson and Rudy Hargrave (missing from
this photo: Christopher Hambly and Emalyne Fenner). Photographed separately is little Charleigh Kuhnle with her
“moving up” bear which plays Jesus Loves Me!
Next, we also celebrated the moving up of our (older) Preschoolers to the Children’s Church Class! At the time of
the baby boom, ESUMC realized the need for greater Nursery Staff and decided to hire a Nursery Coordinator to
create and develop a class where ESUMC children would experience a Bible lesson and songs, crafts, games and
activities. Thus far, this class has done several exciting projects like: the Love Thy Neighbor Project with the Sr.
Ladies Class, making an appreciation sign for our Veterans, creating a Giving Thanks Tree, and holding the Super
Sock Sunday collection for those in need!
The third and final photograph portrayed above is ESUMC’s Fall 2019 Children’s Church Class with its new
members: Brennan Bibler, Andrew Dorsch and Joseph Dorsch, Hunter Hargrave, and Grant McDermott.
Congratulations, everyone!
ESUMC’s “Older Kids’ Moving Up” ceremony will be featured
