UPCOMING SMALL GROUPS

& BIBLE STUDIES
GriefShare, a ministry developed for those who’ve experienced the death of loved one, has been
meeting since early this summer under the direction of Debbie Zacharias. This group has been
an enormous help to spouses, parents, grandparents, and friends that grieve their lost loved ones
and are attempting to recreate their lives. Deb is wisely coordinating ESUMC’s GriefShare
seminar offerings with the Baptist church, so that GriefShare can be readily available in the public
and so our efforts aren’t happening simultaneously. Their final stand-alone meeting, The Loss of
a Spouse, wrapped up Thursday, September 5th, but plans for another round of GriefShare
seminars are already underway for this coming winter! Thanks, Deb, and everyone who helped

Fall Drop-In Study Resumes
Held in the Family Comfort Room! Join us!
This Sunday morning, we’re kicking-off our Drop-In
Study with Francis Chan’s in-depth study of the book
of James. The book of James speaks to the realities
of a living faith in Jesus—the “roll up your sleeves”
and “get your hands dirty” kind of discipleship that’s
borne from an authentic relationship with the risen
Lord. In the Bible, James writes to believers that
understand suffering and have faced many trials, and
to those who desire a intimate relationship with God.
Join us this Fall for our Sunday morning Drop-In ,
held weekly in Classroom #10, at 9:45am. For more
information, contact Tim Malefyt at (267) 808-0540 or

Dear Church Family,

Due to an on-going struggle of addition in our family, I

have become the primary caregiver for my
granddaughter for approximately the last 2 years. As
a (young) grandmother, I currently work one full-time
and one part-time job, and am struggling to provide
transportation for my granddaughter to/from the Head
Start program she’s enrolled in—and so desperately
needs. Last year the Head Start staff’s assistance,
care and education benefitted her in so many ways,
the thought of possibly discontinuing her enrollment
for the sake of transportation greatly saddens me.
