Characteristics
• ABX Pentra HbA1c WB Cal is a liquid multicalibrator.
Different constituents are added in order to obtain specific
concentrations:
CAL 1 (1 x 8 ml): contains 0.4% NaOH, surfactant and chlorohemin.
CAL 2-6 (1 x 2 ml): contains Buffer, Hapten. HORIBA ABX

• ABX Pentra HbA1c WB Cal is ready-to-use. The kit is composed of 6
vials:
CAL 1: 1 vial of 8 ml
CAL 2-6: 5 vials of 2 ml
On ABX Pentra 400:
ABX Pentra HbA1c WB Cal should be used according to this calibrator

3. Transfer the calibrators to different cups and place them in the Level 1 contains the equivalent of 18.0 g/dl (68.29 μmol/l) of total

Assigned values General Precautions

ABX Pentra HbA1c WB Cal is standardised in relation to a HPLC
method (HbA1c) and the Drabkin method (total haemoglobin).
The total haemoglobin is calibrated with the kit's CAL 1.
CAL 1 is used only with Total hemoglobin.
For the level 1 of HbA1c, use NaCl (9 g/l).
1. ABX Pentra HbA1c WB Cal should be used only for the
determination of the calibration curve.
2. Calibrator, for professional in-vitro diagnostic use only.
3. Caution. Irritant. Avoid contact with the eyes, skin and clothing.
Wash hands carefully after handling the product. Do not ingest.
4. The calibrator vials should be discarded after use.
5. Please refer to the MSDS associated with the calibrator.
