ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership style
and work discipline of service on employee performance at PT. Kereta Api
Indonesia (Persero) Ragional Devision I North Utara. The population in the study
is employees of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Ragional Devision I North
Utara totaling 40 respondents while the determination technique by with total
sampling with withdrawal techniques using the Sugiyono formula. So that the
sample in this study amounted to 40 respondents. The data sources in this study
are from primary data and secondary data. Where are the primary data from
observations, interviews and questionnaires. While secondary data can be from
data that has been documented. While the data analysis techniques used are
descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression.
The results of multiple regression analysis, namely Y =
5,349+0,371X1+0,305X2 + e which shows leadership and dicipline of work have
a positive and significant effect on employee performance. While the test results
(t) or partial tests show that ledership has a positive and significant effect on
employee performance where it can be seen the value of t count 2,918> t table
2.02619 and work period variables also have a positive and significant effect on
employee performance which can be seen t count 3,413> t table 2,02619
The results of the coefficient of determination with a correlation
regression value of 0.796, meaning that together with lidership and dicipline of
service on the performance of employees at PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero)
Devision Ragional I North Utara. has contributed to a strong level. Then the
coefficient of determination (R2) 0.614 (61,4%). So that it can be said that 61,4%
of the variation in the dependent variable namely ledership and dicipline Period
on the model can explain the variable Employee Performance at PT. Kereta Api
Indonesia (Persero) Devision Ragional I North Utara. while the remaining
38.6% is influenced by other variables outside the model.
