Employment Summary

April 2018 – Present

Private household, Chelsea, New York
Live-in nanny for 12 months then live out the last 5 months

Whilst within this household my responsibilities have included looking after an eighteenth
month boy and a newborn baby (born in January 2019). I am expected to work on average
45 hours per week.

 I start off my Mondays preparing activities for the week (and often times this takes up
my Sundays!). This includes playdates, libraries and library classes as well as craft
activities.
 Once a week I meet with other nannies in group outings where we will go swimming
with the children. When there is special holiday, we will commemorate it, such as
with Valentine’s day I organised a toddler group event with arts and crafts, in a
themed party.
 When it’s warm I will play soccer with the eldest and visiting parks with the youngest.
 I am responsible for food shopping for a heathy balance diet as well as food
preparation throughout my working week.
 With this family I have been away with them to South Carolina as well as Connecticut
for several weeks and been responsible for full nanny-related duties during this time.
 When the little boy was born, he was in poor health (heart) and I was responsible for
administrating medication as well as supporting the mother throughout this trying
time. At the same time, they were dealt with a grievance in the family so this was a
very difficult time for the family as I was on-call at times at 3-4AM when the mum
found it too much and the dad was away.

August 2017-March 2018

Vacation and family selection in United States. Following this, approval process for J1 Visa

April 2017- July 2017 (3-month original agreement and I was offered an extension but my
primary objective became seeking work in the US)
Private household, Hammersmith, London
Live-in for 2 months, Live-out Nanny for the remainder.

Whilst within this household my responsibilities have included looking after a 10-month-old
boy. Due to both the families careers I am expected to work on average 55 hours per week
with 2 nights a week babysitting (additional 6 hours) as needed.

 At the start of my day I arrive and I collect a handover from the mother and I prepare
breakfast. We play with his toys, some of them being read out the alphabet and
others repeat words back. Whilst we have this time together I also try coaxing him to
repeat much of what I say. This isn’t to say we don’t also have fun playing with some
of his favourite toy cars!
 I read to him, sing simple songs as well as run through nursery rhymes and we visit
sensory toddler groups where I encourage him to talk and play with others.
 We have three meals per day which I prepare and cook for the little one and I am
responsible for taking care of food shops and deliveries weekly.

 I will often take him out on walks around Hammersmith to nearby public gardens and
parks whilst often stopping at cafes with playrooms that cater to babies and toddlers.
 I have taken the little one on picnics, to museums, to swimming classes and I also
have play dates with other nannies.
 At the end of the day I prepare & give him his bottle and then bathe him before
putting him to bed. I then detail the day’s events in the family diary before the parents
get home.
 Although it is not expected of me, I often perform basic housekeeping duties such as
cleaning and dusting.
 In my time with him I have seen him go from a baby was quite immobile to one that
can crawl and get around easily. This, coupled with him being one of the happiest
babies I have ever met, is something I hope I was able to assist the parents in.

March 2017 - Vacation in New York

January 2016 – February 2017

Godhall household, Maida Vale, London
Live-in Nanny

Whilst here I worked for a high profile family, the mother being a CEO of a property business
whom has a column in ‘the Metro’ as well as commentates on BBC1 & BBC6. The father
works as the European head of International Credit for HSBC whilst working on a start-up in
his spare time. Due to both of their careers I am expected to work on average 60 hours a
week with occasional babysitting duties in the evenings for an 18-month old girl.

 A typical day would consist of going to sensory toddler groups in the morning which
are of both of an educational and playful nature, before bringing her home and
putting her to bed across lunch time. During this time, I monitor the little one via a
baby camera whilst making meals for the family. After her nap, we work on arts &
crafts and occasionally go on walks in the gardens.
 I am responsible for taking her to swimming classes as well as in separate times
teaching her how to swim. I have taken her to numerous outdoor places such as the
London Zoo & the Natural History Museum. We often also frequent the parks in
Maida Vale & Richmond for picnics as well as visit the local libraries.
 I have taken a “no television, electronics” approach to working with the youngest
Godhall and thus I have been really hands on with her development i.e. we’ll often
read together in the evenings.
 I have weekly play dates with other nannies and the Godhall cousin’s/ family friends
once a week where we spend the day attending dances classes or counting & shape
classes.
 With the Godhall’s I have been with them to Majorca in Spain as well as areas in
Gloucestershire on holidays where I was relied upon to spend the holiday taking the
little one on days out.
 Although it is not expected of me, I often perform basic housekeeping duties such as
cleaning, dusting and laundry.

August 2014 - January 2016

school.

 I helped the eldest with her homework for English and Maths as well as assisting her
with preparation for her Drama exam. I have taken the two youngest to sensory
toddler groups as well as sign language toddler classes. The eldest boy has autism
and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder of which I have to take into consideration
whilst going about my nannying duties.
 I helped the family with morning routines, bath time, baby sitting and basic hygiene
habits. As well as reading and putting the children to bed.
 I have assisted with looking after the children on family holidays and have also taken
them to the zoo, aquarium and on both bike rides and picnics.
 I took the children to their weekly swimming classes and returned them home
afterwards. The Brooks have a household pet which I took on walks with the
youngest during the day.
 I was expected to maintain the residence, including making the beds for children and
parents as well as doing the washing, dusting and general house cleaning.
 I was responsible for doing the weekly food shops for the children as well as cooking
for them throughout my shift at regular intervals.
 I went on holidays with the Brooks during my time with them, mostly around the
United Kingdom to areas such as Devon & Cambridgeshire.

September 2014-January 2016

Catley’s Household, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
Live-out Nanny

Whilst at the Catley’s my responsibilities included looking after two children, aged 19 months
and 5, every Wednesday. I took the children to sensory groups as well as taught them how
to swim on a weekly basis.

 I drove the eldest to school and look after the youngest throughout the day whilst
cooking for her and taking her with me whilst I walked the household pet.
 I also took the eldest to rainbow classes and led her group.

July 2010-August 2014

Sunflower Nursey and Preschool
Church Ln, Lincoln

Whilst at Sunflowers my responsibility was to look after the pre-school room primarily whilst
occasionally being assigned to the baby and nursery rooms. The children at this nursey
ranged from 7 weeks to 10 years old (after school).

 I had 17 children to look after in a room of 32. The nursey followed the Ofsted-
registered EYFS which enabled me to follow a framework which taught the children
their alphabets and numerical figures.
 I was expected to write in individual diaries that recorded the children’s tasks, which
were planned each morning, and the subsequent results were recorded each
evening before giving the parents weekly feedback on each child’s progress.
 Some of the children suffered from autism and Down’s syndrome and I took extra
care and consideration whilst going about my duties with said children.
 I have received references from both the tutors and the parents of the nursey from
helping children with their eating problems as well as assisting those with disabilities.

Creche
Saudi Arabia (BAE Systems Compound).

It was a 5 week course at a Creche early on in my career where I worked with a variety of
children from different cultures and backgrounds which included Arabic, English, American
and Australian.

This course helped me understand the differences of working abroad before I started a
career for myself in the United Kingdom. I helped them with their swimming lessons as well
as through their early learning stages.

Excellent references from Nursey & Household family’s available upon request.
