gravitational potential energy, kinetic energy, and elastic potential
energy

II. Performance Standard

III. Learning Competencies Learning Competencies:
Identify situations in which work is done and in which no work is done.
Learning Objectives:
a. Explain if work is done or not thru a represented situations.
b. Solve problems involving work
c. Explain how work, energy and power related.

V. Subject Matter Topic: Work and Energy

4. Checking of attendance
5. Review
- What does the third law of motion state?

B. Priming/Activating Prior Knowledge

We simply define work as a source of living. But in Physics,we simply
define work as force and displacement.

- What similarities and differences have you noticed among the tape
charts?
-What does the increase in lengths of the strips suggest?
-What can you say about the motion of the cart? Is it moving in uniform
motion or is it accelerating?
- How do you compare the increase in the length of the strips in F=1 unit?
Is this also true with the other tape charts?
-How do you compare the increase in length of shows the greatest
increase in length of the strips among the four tape charts?Which tape
chart shows the greatest? Least?
- How do the computed values of acceleration compare?
- What does law of acceleration state?
-How do we compute for the acceleration? What unit is used?
-How is net force related to acceleration?
E. Abstraction
Law of acceleration states that the acceleration of an object is directly
proportional to the magnitude of the net force acting on it and is inversely
proportional to its mass
Acceleration =net force/mass a=Fnet/m
Force has a unit and is expressed in Newton (N). One Newton is
defined as the amount of force required to give a 1-kg mass an
acceleration of 1m/s/s
F. Application
Show an illustration and let the students apply the law of acceleration.
VII. Evaluation Quiz
I. Agreement/Assignment
II. Remarks The lesson was not finished.
