I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a. Distinguish the different tools and equipment in sewing.
b. Value the importance of knowing the purpose of sewing tools.
c. Create a different presentation such as short demonstration, songs, tools show and slogan
about sewing.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

1. Activity
Now, let us have an activity. I will
group you into four (4). Let us have
the traditional count.
1,2,3,4…
Group 1 go to my right side, Group 2
go to my left side, Group 3 at the back
of the Group 1 and Group 4 at the
back of the Group 2.

You may now proceed.
As you can see there are pictures
posted in our wall. What you are going
to do is to identify each pictures
whether it is for measuring tools,
cutting tools, marking tools, sewing
accessories, pressing equipment or for
sewing supplies. I will give you an
answer sheet. The first two members
of your group are only the students
allow to stand, observe and identify
the tools included in measuring tools
then if they finished their task, they
will give the answer sheet to others
members of the group to identify the
tools included in cutting tools and so
on. I will give you 5 minutes to do
your task.

How can we use it?
It is a small sharp tool used to remove
stitches from the seam.

other scissor because the body of the

emery bag. As you can see they are
almost the same.

two?

needles and the safety pins while the
Emery bag used to keep and sharpen the
needles and pins.
