PLOT:
The story started in a couple, Lumnay and

because Lumnay can't give him a child–which
is against of their tribe. So Awiyao needs to re-
married to Madulimay whose younger than
Lumnay so that child can continue his lineage
in his tribe.

That gave her the courage to go to the place
where the wedding dance was held. But
before reaching the exact place, she stopped
her tracks and admitting her defeat, for she
realized that she loved Awiyao very much and
that she would rather lose him and see him
happy than to keep him and see him miserable
for not being able to have a baby.

SYMBOLS AND THEIR Beads- symbolize the promise that Awiyao made to Lumnay.

MEANINGS Dancing- Culturally, the dancing is a celebration of happiness. It is also a


show of sexuality by the women.

Night/Darkness- isolation and sadness that Lumnay feels when she run
away from Awiyao's wedding.

THEME True love is not just about happiness. Sacrifices is also part of it.
