One can expect three to five questions from number properties, number system and number
theory in the GRE. The concepts are core concepts and you need to get an in depth understanding
of these concepts to ace these questions in the GRE quant section. For instance, it is not only
sufficient that you know how to find the LCM and HCF of numbers, but you also need to know
what is the idea behind finding LCM and in what cases do we find LCM. The following concepts
are tested in Number Theory in the GRE test.
One can expect two to three questions from permutation combination and counting methods. It is
imperative that you understand the basics of permutation and combination well so that you will
be able to tackle questions from this topic. The following concepts are tested in permutation and
combination in the GRE test.
If you have understood the basics of permutation and combination well, solving questions from
probability becomes easy. In fact, many probability questions are a set of two permutation
probability questions with the denominator being the total number of outcomes for an event and
the numerator being the number of favorable outcomes. The following concepts are tested.
About a third of the questions that appear in the GMAT verbal section are sentence correction
questions.
If you face difficulty in solving any question, go to the explanatory answer or the video
explanations (wherever provided) to learn how to solve the question. Common error types tested
in the GMAT sentence correction section include number agreement (subject verb and pronoun
number agreements), pronouns, tenses, modifiers, parallel construction, comparisons, word
usage (including idioms and phrases), and punctuations.
Sample GMAT practice questions from Geometry is given below. Attempt these questions and
check whether you have got the correct answer. If you could not get the answer, go to the
explanatory answer or the video explanations (wherever provided) to learn how to solve the
question.
Curated sample GMAT questions from these topics are presented here below. Attempt these
questions and check if you have got the correct answer. One can use the explanatory answer or

You should expect to get five to seven questions from number systems, number properties and
number theory and one or two questions from sequence and series (arithmetic sequence and
geometric sequence) in the GMAT quant section - in both variants viz., problem solving and data
sufficiency. In number properties, concepts tested include multiples, factors, LCM, HCF, perfect
squares, prime factorization, number of factors, remainders, factorials, and odd - even numbers.
In sequence and series, arithmetic progression and geometric progression is tested. In addition,
questions could define a sequence that is neither an arithmetic sequence nor a geometric
sequence.
If you have difficulty in solving these GMAT sample questions in number properties and
progressions, go to the explanatory answer or the video explanations (wherever provided) to
learn how to solve these GMAT practice questions.
If it has been a while since you did maths, you should start by watching these two GMAT Math
lesson videos to help you get better traction when solving the questions given below.
You could get one to three questions focusing on equations in the GMAT maths section - in both
variants viz., problem solving and data sufficiency. The concepts covered in this GMAT
questionbank include framing and solving linear equations in two variables, linear equations in
one variable, simultaneous equations solution, finding the roots of a quadratic equation,
determining nature of roots of a quadratic equation, finding curve that a quadratic equation
represents, and word problems in quadratic equations.
Sample GMAT practice questions for equations - linear equations and quadratic equations - in
algebra is given below. Attempt these GMAT sample questions given in the questionbank and
check whether you have got the correct answer. Explanatory answer with video explanations is
available to help you crack the questions.

3. Inequalities
Inequalities is an important topic and one can expect questions in inequalities in the quantitative
reasoning section of the GMAT exam. Questions in inequalities appear in both variants - data
sufficiency and problem solving. Inequalities, data sufficiency, indices, and absolute value is a
potent combination.
A collection of GMAT practice questions in inequalities is given below. Attempt these questions

Intern Gmat club Review
Good course, but I felt Wizako's material was a bit lacking when it comes to certain
topics (like algebra, powers & roots, and integer properties) and a little off-the-mark
when it comes to others (like inequalities, sequences, and functions). Their word
problem material though is excellent. Also, the price of Wizako's quant plus verbal
course is equivalent to the premium online course offered by Magoosh
(which I felt is a better choice if you're looking for a well-balanced course
with better GMAT-like questions)
