with our Union. Our current contract allows for the Union Chairman to
file a Class Grievance in matters like these within thirty days. While we
are well outside of that window, I have been told by Chairman Bigelow
that he has been granted an extension to file a class grievance to
oppose this new change in policy. I have urged the Chairman to file the
grievance in a timely manner, as the longer this policy is in place, the
more safety concerns face our membership and their families.
The Chairman has also told the Executive Council that he will be sending
out a survey to the general membership concerning the upcoming
contract negotiations, so please be on the lookout for the upcoming
