Saham Toney
Community
Orchard Picnic
A picnic on the afternoon of Saturday 31st
August at the developing Saham Toney
Community Orchard attracted about fifty
people to witness how well this project is
progressing. Visitors appreciated ice creams,
cakes and sparkling apple juice. The ‘Ty’d
Notes’ band and a small fairground organ set
the scene. Kathy Avery’s invention, decorated
with attractive apples, won a hat competition
judged by Yvonne Harrold (right). All those
present enjoyed each other’s company and
basked in the summer sunshine.
