1.6 .Limitation of the report

The limitations of the report arise from the inherent limitations of the methodology
and methods adopted. Firstly, the secondary information is often outdated and many
web resources cannot be verified and thus lack authenticity.

1) The time is 78 working days, is insufficient to know all activities of the school and
prepare the report.
2) It was very difficult to collect the information from various personnel for their job
constraint.
3) As some of the fields of study are still not covered by our courses, there was
difficulty in understanding some activities.
4) Another limitation of the report is college activities are not disclosing some data
and information for obvious reason, which could be very much useful.
5) Because of the limitation of information, some assumption was made. So there
may be some personal mistake in the report.
6) I carried out such a study for the first time, so inexperience is one of the main
constraints of the study.

5.1. Financial Performance
Financial Performance in broader sense refers to the degree to which financial
objectives being or has been accomplished and is an important aspect of finance risk
management. It is the process of measuring the results of a firm's policies and
operations in monetary terms. It is used to measure firm's overall financial health over
a given period of time and can also be used to compare similar firms across the same
industry or to compare industries or sectors in aggregation. It may show a position of a
period of time as in the case of a Balance Sheet, or may reveal a series of activities
over a given period of time, as in the case of an Income Statement. Thus, the term
‘financial statements’ generally refers to two basic statements: the Balance Sheet and
the Income Statement.
The Balance Sheet shows the financial position (condition) of the firm at a given point
of time. It provides a snapshot that may be regarded as a static picture. “Balance sheet
is a summary of a firm’s financial position on a given date that shows Total assets =
Total liabilities + Owner’s equity.”The Income Statement (referred to in India as the
profit and loss statement) reflects the performance of the firm over a period of time.
“Income statement is a summary of a firm’s business revenues and expenses over a
specified period, ending with net income or loss for the period.”However, financial
statements do not reveal all the information related to the financial operations of a
firm, but they furnish some extremely useful information, which highlights two
important factors profitability and financial soundness.
5.2. Marketing Performance
Successful organizations seek to attain and maintain high levels of performance.
Numerous organizational strategies may be used in the pursuit of superior
performance. A list of such strategies might include for example a low cost strategy,
a production strategy, a service strategy or a market orientation strategy. But, can a
particular organizational strategy or culture lead to improved organizational
performance? And, if so, can such a strategy or culture be described and then be
measured quantitatively? And, if measurements can be made will comparisons
between organizations be advantageous in helping organizations improve their
performance? This research investigates these questions and attempts to provide
insight into how performance of private business schools belonging to AACSB-
International may be influenced by a market orientation strategy.

Prior empirical research on market orientation has primarily focused on the business
enterprise (Narver and Slater, 1990; Kohli and Jaworski, 1993; Siguaw et al, 1994).
This stream of research has found that successful businesses often report higher
levels of market orientation; we postulate a similar situation may be present in
nonprofit organizations as well. As such, we chose to investigate private business
schools because of their similarities to business enterprises. Specifically, a school of
business serves numerous constituencies. It must identify wants and needs of its
clientele; it operates to provide value to its constituencies; it is influenced by
external factors; and it is an organization with many interfunctional areas and
departments.

5.3. Share Value Performance

Shareholder value is the value delivered to the equity owners of a corporation due to
management's ability to increase sales, earnings, and free cash flow, which leads to an
increase in dividends and capital gains for the shareholders.
A company’s shareholder value depends on strategic decisions made by its board of
directors and senior management, including the ability to make wise investments and
generate a healthy return on invested capital. If this value is created, particularly over
the long term, the share price increases and the company can pay larger cash
dividends to shareholders.
Shareholder value can become a hot button issue for corporations, as the creation of
wealth for shareholders does not always or equally translate to value for employees or
customers of the corporation.

The mean score for the performance variable calculated for the marketing department
chairs was 5.23 on the 7- point scale. A specific performance score was not reported
in the literature for the specialty business managers.
Next, a multiple regression model was developed to ascertain if the market
orientation scores affected the performance indicator scores, at least as far as the
marketing chairs in this study are concerned. The regression equation is described
and explained below. Following the description of the regression model will be a
discussion of the results and analysis of the model.
The regression model developed to answer
research question 3 follows: Y=b0+b1x1+b2x2+b3x3
where:
Y=mean score of the two-item performance scale as reported
by the marketing chairs of private schools

Table 2 that follows presents the results of the analysis of variance of the
regression equation. As can be seen below, the regression model is statistically
significant in that it shows that organizational performance is positively affected by
market orientation scores.

6.3. Share Value Performance Analysis

Increasing shareholder value increases the total amount in the stockholders' equity
section of the balance sheet. The balance sheet formula is: assets, minus liabilities,
equals stockholders' equity, and stockholders' equity includes retained earnings, or the
sum of a company's net income, minus cash dividends since inception.
6.3.1 Factoring in Earnings per Share
If management makes decisions that increase net income each year, the company can
either pay a larger cash dividend, or retain earnings for use in the business. A
company’s earnings per share (EPS) is defined as earnings available to common
shareholders divided by common stock shares outstanding, and the ratio is a key
indicator of a firm’s shareholder value. When a company can increase earnings, the
ratio increases and investors view the company as more valuable.
6.3.2 How Asset Use Drives Value
Companies raise capital to buy assets and use those assets to generate sales or invest
in new projects with a positive expected return. A well-managed company maximizes
the use of its assets so that the firm can operate with a smaller investment in assets.
Assume, for example, a plumbing company uses a truck and equipment to complete
residential work, and the total cost of these assets is $50,000. The more sales the
plumbing firm can generate using the truck and the equipment, the more shareholder
value the business creates. Valuable companies are those that can increase earnings
with the same dollar amount of assets.

6.3.3 Instances Where Cash Flow Increases Value

Generating sufficient cash inflows to operate the business is also an important
indicator of shareholder value because the company can operate and increase sales
without the need to borrow money or issue more stock. Firms can increase cash flow
by quickly converting inventory and accounts receivable into cash collections.
The rate of cash collection is measured by turnover ratios, and companies attempt to
increase sales without the need to carry more inventory or increase the average dollar
amount of receivables. A high rate of both inventory turnover and accounts-receivable
turnover increases shareholder value.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
 Shareholder value is that value given to stockholders in a company based on
the firm's ability to sustain and grow profits over time.
 Increasing shareholder value increases the total amount in the stockholders'
equity section of the balance sheet.
 Legal rulings suggest that the maxim to increase shareholder value, in fact, a
practical myth—there is actually no legal duty to maximize profits in the
management of a corporation.
6.3.4 The Shareholder Value Maximization Myth?
It is commonly understood that corporate directors and management have a duty to
maximize shareholder value, especially for publicly traded companies. However, legal
rulings suggest that this common wisdom is, in fact, a practical myth—there is
actually no legal duty to maximize profits in the management of a corporation.
The idea can be traced in large part to the oversize effects of a single outdated and
widely misunderstood ruling by the Michigan Supreme Court's 1919 decision
in Dodge v. Ford Motor Co., which was about the legal duty of a controlling majority
shareholder with respect to a minority shareholder and not about maximizing
shareholder value. Legal and organizational scholars such as Lynn Stout and Jean-
Philippe Robé have elaborated on this myth at length.

7.1Findings
7.2 Recommendations

7.3Conclusion

7.1 Findings
 Bagaura high School Overall Performance Human Resource Department is
not organized. As a result the operating manager does not co-operate with HR
in decision making.
 They properly analyze what behaviors, abilities, knowledge and equipment
are required to perform the job.
 They clearly identify the essential functions to perform a job.
 They provide a written narrative describing the activities performed on the job
through appointment letter.

 The organization does not outline specific skills, knowledge, abilities and
other physical & personal characteristics that are necessary to perform a job.
 Their selection, training and promotion procedure are not well structured and
not even applied properly.
 They do not provide any down-to-earth presentation of both formal &
informal aspects of the job.
 HRD is not much concerned about the employees.
 The organization recruits employees from both within the organization &
outside the organization.
 They do not check an employee’s efficiency before promoting him to an
administrative position.
 The employees are not satisfied with the training process.
 Bagaura high School doesn’t train all the employees.
 Compensation system is not satisfactory.
 The working environment is quite satisfactory
 Quick matchup with the new policy

7.2. Recommendations
All the recommendations are entirely based on various perspectives which are
obtained from the survey conducted. These are stated below:

 Needs Teachers Training a well – prepared teacher is vitally important to a

child’s education. Training for teachers is a very important function of
academic management in the schools. In this organization the teachers are
trained mostly on the job training system so the y get de-motivated when they
enter in the organization so a training section and trainer should be needed

who can train the teacher even who scored very poor from the performance
appraisal system.
 Open discussion with the teachers
The important role that teachers play in the academic activities cannot be
overlooked. In our country teachers are more used to the traditional learning
tools and are not very open to change. They rarely want to accept and adapt to
innovative methods in the learning environment. Bangla Medium schools can
play an important role in introducing the various training strategies like
workshops, demonstration classes. Through these the teachers queries and
concerns can be clarified. The Management can listen to some of the teachers’
comments or opinion and take necessary steps.
 Changes in School policies
As pointed out by some teachers, higher authorities of Bangla Medium
Schools, do not practices HRM policy. However this level is very minimal;
therefore higher authorities of schools should try and change their attitude
towards the practicing the HRM policy because HRM now is the business
partner.
 Teacher’s salary should be increased:
Teacher is the main component of an educational institution. If an educational
institution wants to run very nicely and with high quality of education it needs
to recruit high quality of teachers with handsome salary.
 Highly decorated and airy class room is needed:
The school is running with high quality of education in a narrow class room in
which a teacher doesn’t want to teach with broad and fresh mind. So size of
the class room should be broadened and opened.
7.3. Conclusion
As a teacher of Bagaura High School I have truly enjoying my teaching from the
learning and experience viewpoint. I am confident that this practical experience at
Bagaura High School will definitely help me to realize my further carrier in the job
market.
Bagaura High School has converted all of their system and policy of traditional and
national curriculum teaching system. I think which a very practical and bold decision
is. As there are lots of local students. Bagaura High School is promising to provide a

good teaching method. In this competitive environment Bagaura High School has to
compete not only the others institutions but also with the public school. Bagaura
High School is more capable of contributing towards economic development as
compared with other institutions. . It is obvious that the right thinking of this college
including establishing a successful network over the country and increasing resources
will be able to play a considerable role in the portfolio of development. Success in the
business largely depends on effective lending.
