Triple beam balance

A triple beam balance is a laboratory apparatus that can determine the weight or the mass of a
certain object and this one doesn’t rely on gravitational force instead it is capable of giving the same
mass reading on the Moon as it would on Earth, even though the Moon's gravity is only 1/6th that of the
Earth's. Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, the inventor of triple beam balance that he invented late 1700s that is
used to measure masses. When it comes to science it is very important to know the accurate
measurement of a substance especially if it’s for research and experimentation purposes and it is
significant to know the precise measurement of the weights of the ingredients so the experiment could
possibly work without encountering failure.

According to Vispute (2018) A triple beam balance is such a weighing device or tool which allows
the user to accurately measure the mass of an object in grams. This device can provide higher accuracy
compared to a spring-based measuring scale, and has an error margin of only 0.05 gm. Therefore, it can
help to easily identify if the weight of your ingredients if its right or not and basically it is primarily used
as a laboratory apparatus.
