TELANGANA STATE LPCET – 2018

INFORMATION BULLETIN

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. Online applications are invited from the candidates who intend to take
admission into language Pandit Training Course (LPT) in Government IASE /
CTEs and Private Language Pandit Training Colleges in the State of
Telangana through LPCET – 2018 on the dates to be notified shortly through
Computer Based Test (CBT) online mode. Applications will be received only
through ‘ONLINE’ on LPCET -2018 website http://lpcet.cdse.telangana.gov.in
from 10.04.2018 to 24.04.2018.

2. Steps to be followed in submission of application online.

i. The candidates shall first download the ‘Information Bulletin’ free

of cost from the LPCET website http://lpcet.cdse.telangana.gov.in, go
through it carefully and satisfy their eligibility for appearing at
LPCET, 2018.

ii. The candidate after satisfying herself/himself about the eligibility

criteria for LPCET shall pay a fee of Rs.400.00 through LPCET
website between 10.04.2018 to 24.04.2018 for submission of
application Online. At the LPCET website, the candidate has to
give the required preliminary data (i.e. Name of the candidate,
Date of birth, Gender, whether the candidate belongs to
Telangana State and mobile phone number). On receipt of fee at
LPCET website the candidate shall be issued a ‘PAYMENT
REFERENCE ID’ with which she/he can proceed with submission of
application online. Issue of ‘PAYMENT REFERENCE ID’ does not
mean that the candidate has completed submission of
application online. It is only a confirmation of the fee received.

iii. The candidates shall follow the procedure for submission of online
application as given in the ‘Information Bulletin’ and user guide and
instructions provided online while filling up the online application
form. The Candidate should be ready with photograph of size less
than 50 kb and the signature of the candidate shall be less than
30 kb.’

 a) Applications with no photo / unclear photo / inadequate size
photograph will be rejected. Hall – Ticket will not be issued to
such candidates. Hence, after pressing the ‘UPLOAD’ button
check if the photo is of required size, clear and is of the same
candidate of whom the details are to be filled in the
application. If the photo is smaller in size, not clear or does
not belong to the candidate press ‘UPLOAD’ button below the
photograph on the application form and ‘UPLOAD’ again.

b) Complaints relating to mismatch of photograph and candidate

details will not be accepted after submission of application at
any cost.

4. Schedule Of Examination:

The LPCET shall be conducted online at Hyderabad and Warangal on the

dates to be notified shortly.

5. Eligibility for admission:

(A) Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.

(B) He/She should satisfy Local / Non Local Status requirements as laid down
in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation and Admission Rules
1974) as amended from time to time.

(C) Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 19 years of age as on
the 1st July of the year of admission i.e. 01.07.2018. There is no upper age
limit.

(D) Educational Qualifications: The candidates who have passed the minimum
qualifying examinations mentioned below are eligible to apply, as per
G.O.Ms.No.97, Education (SE-Trg-1) Department, dt.05.12.2006 read
with G.O.Ms.No.10 SCHOOL EDUCATION (TRG) DEPARTMENT

Telugu Pandit Must possess Graduation with Telugu as one of the Optional
subjects /Graduation in Telugu Literature /Bachelor’s Degree in
Oriental Language (BOL) in Telugu / Post Graduation Degree in
Telugu, from a University recognised by UGC, with minimum 50%
marks (In case of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates,
the minimum marks shall be 45%).
Hindi Pandit Must possess Graduation with Hindi as one of the Optional
subjects / Graduation in Hindi Literature / Bachelor’s Degree in
Oriental Language (BOL) in Hindi/Post Graduation Degree in Hindi,
from a University recognised by UGC with minimum 50% marks
(In case of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the
minimum marks shall be 45%).
Urdu Pandit Must possess Graduation with Urdu as one of the Optional
subjects / Graduation in Urdu Literature/ Bachelor’s Degree in
Oriental Language (BOL) in Urdu / Post Graduation Degree in
Urdu, from a University recognised by UGC with minimum 50%
marks (In case of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates,
the minimum marks shall be 45%).

Note: 1) The candidates who have passed the above examination as on the
date of submission of application are eligible to appear for LPCET
– 2018.

2) The candidates who have appeared for final year of the

qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for LPCET-2018
Entrance Examination subject to the condition that they should
produce their pass certificates of the Qualifying Examination at
the time of counselling without fail.

3) The above qualifications prescribed are for LPCET-2018 only.

The Government may prescribe over and above qualifications at the
time of Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).

4) The qualifying marks in LPCET for ranking for OC and BC

candidates shall be 35% of the aggregate marks. However, there
shall be no minimum qualifying marks for the candidates belonging
to the category of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes for
allotment of seats reserved under the respective categories. That

 is to say, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled
Tribes Communities should secure 35% of marks for consideration
against seats under OC category. Similarly, in case of NCC /
Defence Personnel or their children and spouses / Sports
Categories also the minimum marks required are 35%.”

6. a. Scheme of Entrance Test:

The Common Entrance Examination shall be of completely objective type

containing only multiple choice questions through Computer Based
Test(CBT)through online mode. The duration of online examination is One and
Half hours only, with maximum marks of 100 as shown below:

*The medium of LPCET shall be Telugu, Hindi and Urdu Language for the
respective Pandit Training Programmes.”

Note: (a) Only the candidates who obtain qualifying marks in the LPCET shall be
assigned ranks as per order of merit. However SC & ST candidates
shall be given ranks as per merit order of marks secured by them in
LPCET irrespective of qualifying mark for admission into their
respective categories.

(b) No requests for re-totalling of marks, revaluation of answer scripts or

personal verification of answer scripts will be entertained.

(c) The LPCET will be conducted at different examination centers to be

constituted in the identified places only and not at any other place.

iii. Literature: Graduate Degree Standard

7. Allotment of Seats:

All the sanctioned intake of seats in Language Pandit Training Course in the
Govt. IASEs/CTEs and Private Pandit Training Colleges shall be filled through
LPCET-2018 only. Such seats shall be allotted to the candidates on the basis of
the rank obtained in LPCET-2018. The intake capacity in each institute may
change from time to time as decided by NCTE (National Council for Teacher
Education). The admission procedure will be followed as per the Government
Orders issued by the Government from time to time.

8. Rule of Reservation:

Rule of reservation for Local Candidates, Community Wise and Special Category
reservations shall be as per the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulations
and Admissions) Order, 1974 as amended from time to time.

9. Procedure for Counseling and Admissions:

The Rules governing the procedure for Counseling and admissions shall be
notified along with dates for Counseling and admissions.

10. Hall Ticket:

Candidates may download their Hall Tickets online from

http://lpcet.cdse.telangana.gov.in from the dates to be notified on the website.
Candidates may keep viewing the website for information on dates of download
of Hall Tickets. In case any candidate cannot download the Hall ticket during
the dates notified for download of Hall Tickets, she/he should contact the help
line by giving the details of the PAYMENT REFERENCE ID of the fee paid and
the Registration number of the application submitted.

11. Fee:

The fee towards submission of application online and for the conduct of
examination is Rs.400/-. Candidates shall pay the fee through LPCET website
between 10.04.2018 and 24.04.2018 and submit online application at the LPCET
website http://lpcet.cdse.telangana.gov.in between 10.04.2018 and 24.04.2018.

12. Procedure For Applying Online:

i. The candidates shall first download the ‘Information Bulletin’ free

of cost from the LPCET website http://lpcet.cdse.telangana.gov.in, go
through it carefully and satisfy their eligibility for appearing for
LPCET, 2018.

ii. The candidate after satisfying herself/himself about the eligibility

criteria for LPCET shall pay a fee of Rs.400.00 through
TSONLINE between 10.04.2018 to 24.04.2018 midnight for
submission of application Online. At the LPCET website Centres,
the candidate has to give the required preliminary data (i.e. Name
of the candidate, Date of birth, Gender and mobile phone number).
On receipt of fee at LPCET website the candidate shall be issued
a ‘Payment Reference ID’ with which she/he can proceed with
submission of application online. Issue of Payment Reference ID
does not mean that the candidate has completed submission of
application online. It is only a confirmation of the fee received.

iii. The candidates shall follow the procedure of submission of online

application as given in the ‘Information Bulletin’ and also as per
the instructions provided online while filling up the online
application form. The Candidate should be ready with photograph
of size upto 50kb and candidate signature upto 30kb before filling
in on-line application.’

IV) Paste the photograph on a white paper and sign below (sign in Black Ink
only). Look for the sample above. Ensure that the signature is within the
box. Scan the required size containing the photograph and signature.
Please do not scan the complete page. The entire image consisting of
photo along with signature is required to be scanned and stored in *.jpeg

 format on local machine. Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not
more than 50kb. If the size of the image is more than 50 kb, then adjust
the settings of the scanner such as dpi resolutions, number of colours
during the process of scanning.
a) Applications with no photo/ unclear photo/ inadequate size

candidates. Hence, after pressing the 'UPLOAD' button check if the
photo is of required size, clear and is of the same candidate of whom
the details are to be filled in the application. If the photo is smaller
in size, not clear or does not belong to the candidate press 'BACK'
button below the photograph on the application form and restart with
scanning of the photograph.
b)Complaints relating to mismatch of photograph and candidate
details will not be accepted after submission of application at any
cost. No request for change of photos / information regarding
candidates details shall be entertained.
c)After last date of receipt of applications no corrections
(Name, DOB, Gender, Community, etc) shall be entertained under
any circumstances
v) Initial steps to be followed before filling Online Application Form

(a) On submission of application form online the candidate shall be

given registration number which should be kept carefully for any
kind of future correspondence. Submission of application can be
considered to have been completed only on receiving reference ID
number.
(b) On submission of application form online the candidate shall be

(c) On completion of submission, the candidates shall take a printout
of the application and store it for future use. Candidates should
not post the printout of the application to LPCET office.
(d) In case of any clarifications before, during or after submission of
application online the candidates may contact the Help Desk
Number: 6300767628 between 10.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m on all

 working days from 07.04.2018to till the date of examination.
(e) In any case applications will not be received in any kind of
manual form.
(f) Candidates can download their Hall Tickets from the dates to be
notified on the website at http://lpcet.cdse.telangana.gov.in.
Candidates may keep viewing the website for information on dates
of download of Hall Tickets. In case any candidate cannot download
the Hall ticket during the dates notified for download of Hall
Tickets, she/he should contact the help line by giving the details
of the Payment Reference ID of the fee paid and the Registration
number of the application submitted.
(g) Request for issue of duplicate Hall Ticket will not be entertained
after the examination in any case.
(h) Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
(i) It is to be noted that if a candidate has been allowed to appear in
the LPCET it does not imply that the candidates' eligibility has
been verified. However qualifying the LPCET shall not confer a
right on any person for admission, unless be possesses
qualifications mentioned in G.O.Ms.No.10 SCHOOL EDUCATION
(TRG) DEPARTMENT Date :06.04.2018. The eligibility shall be,
finally, verified by the Convenor at the time of counselling for
admissions if provisionally selected.
(j) Furnishing of false, wrong or inaccurate information/ qualifications
leads to cancellation of the test result and even prosecution in
appropriate cases.
(k) No request for re-checking, re-assessment, re-evaluation or
scrutiny of Computer based test (CBT) will be entertained.
13. Issue of Rank Card:

The marks along with ranks of the candidates will be hosted on the web-site
http://lpcet.cdse.telangana.gov.in.

14.Convener LPCET 2018 reserves the right to take all actions to ascertain
genuineness of certificates of candidates and genuineness of candidates
themselves at any stage of admission or during course of study in case already
admitted.

 15. Legal Jurisdiction:

All disputes pertaining to the conduct of LPCET- 2018 shall be subject to

jurisdiction of Honourable High Court for AP & Telangana at Hyderabad
