Technical Notes for PROJECT REPORT (SIP)

Use only the Harvard method of referencing. If you are just citing the work of an author in
general, you should refer to it by Author & year in the text e.g. (Elder, 2015). If you are citing an
extract from the work, say a few lines, you should also show the page number, e.g. (Elder, 2015:
35). Do not use footnotes.

All tables, figures, graphs and exhibits of any sort have to be numbered and show a title on top
and show a source on the bottom. Titles must stand out and be clearly descriptive of the contents.

Make sure that each chapter has a suitable introduction and a summary or conclusion.

Leave 25mm margin on the top, right and bottom; leave 35mm on the left margin ( the side
where the binding will be )

Each page to be numbered, preferably on the bottom in the middle.

Print on one side of each sheet only.

Use only white paper of 75 (or +) gms.

Leave 1.5-2 space between lines.

Use font size 12 (Times New Roman) for the text. You may use smaller fonts for tables but titles
and other headings must be clearly legible. Do not use fancy fonts.

subdivision. The first digit to correspond to the chapter number, so that, for example, 3.2 mean
the second section in chapter 3.
