CONTENT FOCUS  Show appreciation to Japanese literature by reflecting on the significant
development of the main character throughout the selection.
PERFORMANCE  Create a broadcast interview “live” from CNN Philippines with all the characters of The
FOCUS Maiden with the Wooden Bowl”
 Dramatize modified version of the selection “The Maiden with the Wooden Bowl”
Enduring  The learner understands that the presentation of believable characters and situations

Dramatize modified version of the selection “The Maiden with the Wooden Bowl”. It
can be set in the present times and have a different ending from the original version.
The sky is the limit here. Unleash your imagination by coming up with funny own
versions but emphasizing the moral lessons of the story.

 THE ADVISERS (Group 2 & 4)


Create a broadcast interview “live” from CNN Philippines with all the characters of The
Maiden with the Wooden Bowl” starting from mother, fosters parents, aunts, the
young man, the bullies, and the maiden with the wooden bowl.

As an interviewer, create at least 2-3 questions for each of the character and present
the talk show in class. Emphasize the moral lessons of the story.

 We should not judge a person on the outside beauty. Because some


of person’s beauty could not be seen through his face but could be
found in the inner beauty which is through his/her heart.
