PERSEPSI PASIEN MENGENAI PERILAKU PETUGAS

KESEHATAN DALAM MENERAPKAN PRINSIP HEALTH LITERACY DI PUSKESMAS
KOTA MAKASSAR,

Latar belakang: Literasi kesehatan merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi seseorang untuk
membuat keputusan yang tepat dalam mengatasi berbagai masalah kesehatannya. Oleh sebab itu
dibutuhkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan yang baik dari seorang petugas kesehatan untuk bisa
meningkatkan literasi kesehatan seseorang. Berdasarkan hasil kajian literatur terkait penelitian ini,
ada dua penelitian yang telah dilakukan dan keduanya menemukan hasil yang berbeda. Terjadinya
perbedaan ini salah satunya disebabkan kuesioner yang diisi oleh petugas kesehatan itu sendiri,
sehingga kemungkinan ada unsur subyektif. Untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap oleh
tenaga kesehatan terkait literasi kesehatan sebaiknya selain menilai tenaga kesehatan, perlu juga
mendapatkan gambaran pengetahuan dan sikap dari petugas kesehatan melalui persepsi pasien yang
mendapatkan pelayanan tersebut.
Tujuan: Mengetahui sikap dan praktik tenaga kesehatan dalam menerapkan prinsip literasi
kesehatan melalui perspektif pasien di puskesmas kota Makassar.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak
108 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara consecutive sampling.
Hasil: Pada penelitian ini mayoritas responden memiliki persepsi yang cukup baik mengenai praktik
petugas kesehatan yaitu sebanyak 74 orang (58,5%) dan hanya 34 orang (31,5%) memiliki persepsi
mengenai praktik petugas dalam katergori baik. Sedangkan sebanyak 69,4% atau sekitar 75 orang
yang menganggap sikap petugas kesehatan dalam menerapkan prinsip literasi itu baik dan hanya 33
responden (30,6%) memiliki persepsi mengenai praktik petugas dalam katergori cukup baik.
Kesimpulan dan saran: Hampir semua responden rata-rata mengatakan cukup baik mengenai
perilaku petugas kesehatan dalam menerapkan prinsip health literacy. Namun masih ada prinsip
literasi kesehatan yang tidak di berikan oleh responden.

Background: Health literacy is an important factor that influences a person to make the right
decision in overcoming various health problems. Therefore, good skills and knowledge from a health
worker are needed to improve one's health literacy. Based on the results of a literature review related
to this study, there are two studies that have been conducted and both have found different results.
One of the reasons for this difference is because the method used uses a questionnaire filled in by
the health workers themselves, so that there may be a subjective element. To find out the level of
knowledge and attitudes by health professionals related to health literacy, it is better than to assess
health workers, it is also necessary to get an overview of the knowledge and attitudes of health
workers through the perceptions of patients who get these services
Objective: To find out the attitudes and practices of health workers in applying the principles of
health literacy through the patient's perspective in the Makassar city health center.
Method: This study used a cross sectional research design. 108 respondents included by consecutive
sampling.
Results:74 respondents (58.5%) had a fairly good perception of the practice of health workers and
34 (31.5%) respondents were in good categories. While 75 (69.4%) considered the attitude of health
workers in applying the principle of literacy were good and only 33 respondents (30.6%) in the
category quite well.
Conclusions and suggestions: Almost all respondents considered quite well about the behavior of
health workers in applying the principle of health literacy. However, there were still principles of
health literacy that were not given by respondents.
