Reflection

The life of being a teacher is not easy, there are so many tasks to do, things to
consider and things that you need to understand deeply. You have to take a long patience,
motivate them, be considerate with them and all the things that are helpful in providing
good relationship with your students.

The movie shows how the effort was invested to the students, even though the
character faces a lot of differences but still she continued to stay her feet on the ground.
The character in the movie did everything she can do that the students will change their
attitude and behavior when it comes to in interacting with her. The teacher did not judge
the students because she already has settled plans on how to get the trust and attention
of those students. Being a teacher is never easy. Why? Because as what the movie
shows you have to be considerate and have a long patience to your students because
you barely know each other. The struggles are very hard to take on but, you have to think
for the best, you are not just teaching good deeds to your students but you also have to
be the second mother to them. You have to understand the flaws, their attitudes, their
bad doings and all those negative words that could best describe to those students. Being
a teacher means risking your life ang putting up a lot of efforts for your students., it may
seem difficult but that is the life that you choose, that is your vocation.

If we are going to internalized the message or moral lesson of the story it is very
deep and so hard to do. As a human we should not judge the people through their physical
looks, we should never underestimate a person without knowing their background or story
behind their doings. We should put in our mind that that everyone we encounter are the
same because some people are just hiding their real identity just to show to the world that
they are happy when even though they are not. We people should balance our
responsibilities, it should be equal and not unbalanced because if we only focus ourselves
in one thing and not minding other person involved then we are wrong. Balancing should
be applied on a teacher especially when she/he has a family. We should always put in
our mind that we have to balance our responsibilities in life so that we will not feel regret
or guilty in the end.
 In the movie, the students in their own lives experienced tragedy and hardships,
but with the help of Ms. Gruwell’s which is their teacher, the teens become change agents
in their community and beyond. Those efforts that Ms. Gruwell’s did and sacrifices helps
the students to overcome their problems and fears in life which leads her students from
being at-risk to a shining stars.

As a future teacher, the movie gives me a hence that teaching is not easy. But if
you are motivated you can do it successfully. Even you encountered different kinds of
attitudes and behavior of your students you should have a long patience. You should
know how to adjust yourself to the students, because you are already educated and you
have many ways on how to handle it. A future educator is not easy because you’re going
to put yourself as the second parent, which not only to teach a lesson on different subject
but also the good manners and right conduct that should be apply to each of them. And
for me, it is a hard work because you’re going to give a lot of time than to your family or
love one’s.

A teacher should always think a different kinds of techniques that always new to
the mind of the students so that they will always be excite and active in performing in front
of class. The future teacher also should consider the different attitudes and listen to one’s
feelings so that you can easily adjust. A teacher also should be careful on teaching a
lesson because we are the one who are going to widen a mind to their future.
