INTRODUCTION

Filipino made jam that will surely capture the heart of every Filipinos. Made from fresh

local bananas that came from the hard work of every Filipino farmer. Carefully choose the best of

the best bananas to produce a high quality jam.

Jammy-B aims to be the best selling jam in the country and soon will target the international

market through continuously improving our products. We’ll let the current community try

something new that will leave an unforgettable taste on their tongues.

Jammy-B provides comfort by bringing the taste of home in every serving. We want our
Filipino customers to prioritize Filipino made products that will surely make them satisfy their
cravings.

Our purpose is to advocate our own Agricultural benefits by producing a product that will
give the feeling of being at home.

We take all the responsibilities within the branch, and we ensure that our products will
stand out from the competitors’ goods.

Some people may not be fond of bananas but we guarantee that this is not just a banana,

BRIEF HISTORY

The bananas are fruits that many of us enjoy on a daily basis, whether it’s for breakfast,

lunch, or dinner. Bananas are one of the most widely consumed fruits in the world for good

reason. It has great versatility and such a complimentary flavour.

Bananas are originally found in South East Asia mainly in India. In 327 B.C. Arab

conquerors brought and moved from Asia Minor to Africa and finally carried to the New World.

Generally, a Banana Plant lives up to approximately 25 years. Growing Banana Plants are easy

enough if the right combination of factors is present. A Banana Plant takes about nine months to

become mature and it needs a lot of tender loving care for it to grow to its fullest potential.

Growing Banana Plants require a lot of sunlight and high level of humidity. That is one of

the reasons it's found in abundance in the tropics and hot climate countries like Philippines. There

are types of Bananas that are cultivated, mainly in tropical regions. There is the sweet, soft dessert

fruit that is eaten raw or used in dessert recipes. There are a wide variety of delicious dessert

recipes using Bananas in almost every food culture in the world, and because of this we came up

an idea of making it into a jam.

Jam is a concentrated source of nutrition when made with fully ripened fruits. Jams are rich

in glucose and a great source of Energy and Fiber. They curb hunger, helping us to eat less and

be satisfied without cravings. Making banana a jam was a great opportunity for us because it is

not only healthy but also the ingredients are affordable.

We tried to produce a banana jam and the result was surprisingly good because of that, we

conducted several free tastings in our school and the feedbacks we received were great, and

because of that our product become popular and become Filipinos’ favourite.

SUPPLIER

Supplier is the one who gives supplies that we need in order for us to produce our own

product. Our suppliers make sure that the goods that they give us are always fresh and have a

high quality.

As we start our product, our main ingredient, banana, most of producers of its in

Mindanao. It started in Davao del Norte around 60’s and has flourished to eleven provinces with

about 50,000 hectares of farmland. The Filipino Banana Growers and Exporters Associations, Inc.

is the SECOND LARGEST EXPORTER of bananas in the world, they are providing us the fresh, best

and high quality bananas in order for us to make a good quality jam. It established in 1974, it is a

non-stock corporation that serves as the central coordinating agency for the development and the

advancement of the banana export industry in the Philippines. The PBGEA serves as the self-

regulatory forum for the big players in the industry to ensure compliance to international quality

standards, continued competitiveness in the global market, to understand and promote research

for technological innovations, and to look after the welfare of all those involved in the industry.

We cannot make banana jam by just having bananas. We also need sugar so that’s why

we make to have the high quality sugar. The sugar that we use is from the sugar capital of the

Philippines Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. The Confederation of Sugar Producers (CONFED) in

Negros Occidental is the company that supplies sugars to our company. The CONFED is the

country’s biggest group of sugar producers, which is being implemented under the Department

of Agriculture’s (DA) Malasakit Program, as their contribution to avert rising inflation. The

CONFED always make sure that the sugar their supply to us is always good quality.

We can’t produce banana jam if we don’t have a bottle. The bottle will serve as the house

of our jam. We make sure that the bottle we use is safe and properly sterilized. The Packaging

Depot Manila supplies us affordable bottle but they keep it high quality. Packaging Depot Manila

offers a wide variety of pouch packaging solutions at competitive prices to support your business

at different stages as it grows. We believe that good packaging shouldn’t be reserved for large

companies who have the resources to design and customize their packaging needs. They allow us

to choose from a wide selection of pouches, sizes, and styles to get the quantity we need. At

Packaging Depot Manila, they serve as our partner helping our business to grow and succeed.

They built their company to help the small and large enterprises. They assure us the quality in

every piece of bottle and it is properly sterilized.
