E. Materi Pembelajaran

1. Definisi Deskriptif text


Deskriptif text adalah sebuah teks yang menjelaskan atau
mendeskripsikan orang, binatang, tempat, atau suatu benda, baik
bentuknya sifat-sifatnya, jumlahnya dan lain-lain.
2. Fungsi Sosial
Menggambarkan ciri-ciri dari seseorang, binatang, tempat, suatu
benda dan lain-lain.
3. Struktur Text
a. Identification. Pengenalan objek atau hal yang akan
dideskripsikan
b. Description. Penginformasian ciri-ciri objek, misalnya sifat-sifat,
tampilan fisik, dan yang lain secara spesifik.
4. Unsur Kebahasaan
a. Noun: kata benda yang spesifik, misalnya, Borobudur temple, my
best friend, my cat, dan lain-lain. Selain itu, terkadang juga
menggunakan kata benda yang medaoat pemberian kata sifat,
misalnya an intelligent student, a big garden, dan lain-lain.
b. Simple present tense: menggunakan kata kerja bentuk pertama
(Verb 1). Misalnya: my house has 2 living rooms, it is so big, dan
lain-lain.
c. Adjective: kata sifat digunakan untuk menjelaskan obyek.
Misalnya: pointed nose, black hair, dan lain-lain.

kegiatan pembelajaran dengan berdoa
bersama.

a. Siswa menyimak penjelasan materi tentang
teks deskriptif melalui slide show.
b. Siswa membaca dan memahami fungsi
social, struktur teks dan unsur kebahasaan
dari teks deskriptif pada slide show

c. Siswa diminta menyebutkan (1) fungsi
sosial teks, (2) struktur teks, (3) unsur
kebahasaan terkait teks deskriptif.

2) Menanya
a. Dengan bimbingan guru, siswa
menanyakan siswa mempertanyakan
tentang stuktur dan unsur kebahasaan
terkait.
b. Dengan bimbingan guru, siswa
menanyakan hal apa saja yang akan
diungkapkan/ dibahas didalam teks
deskriptif.

3) Mengumpulkan Informasi
a. Siswa mengamati unsur kebahasaan yang
digunakan dalam video terkait teks
deskriptif.
b. Siswa secara berpasangan diminta
membuat teks deksriptif berdasarkan
gambar yang terdapat di secret book yang
mereka pilih dengan menggunakan bahasa
mereka sendiri.

4) Mengasosiasi
a. Siswa diminta untuk mengelompokkan teks
yang mereka (meliputi fungsi sosial,
struktur teks dan unsur kebahasaan).

5) Mengkomunikasikan
a. Siswa diminta untuk mempresentasikan
hasil pekerjaan mereka di dengan bermain
game tebak siapa aku. (pair vs pair)
Penutup 1) Guru dan peserta didik membuat kesimpulan 15 menit
tentang materi yang telah dipelajari.
2) Guru melakukan refleksi terhadap kegiatan yg
telah dilakukan dengan tanya jawab
3) Guru melakukan kegiatan tindak lanjut dalam
bentuk pemberian tugas
4) Guru mengajak peserta didik berdoa dan
mengucapkan salam.

Essay Kediri is a name of a town. It is situated in a valley


between the Kelud and Willis mountains and inhabited by
about 1.3 million people. In the centre of the town there is a
large hill which is called the Dathok Mountain. Because of the
topography of the region, Kediri is called a chilly town by the
locals. There is a big river called Brantas cutting off the centre
of the town.
Beside the temples, Kediri is also famous for its
products like cigarettes and a special kind of tofu or bean
curd. This highly nutritious food is delicacy of Kediri and has
a distinctive taste. The cigarettes factory dominates the town

economy and employs the majority of the women labor force.
Kediri and the cigarettes factory are inseparable and it is
considered the biggest cigarette factory in Indonesia. Most of
the local people work in this factory. Those who do not work
here are farmers or traders.
