Purpose:
 to know the essential configuration needed to make a circuit
 to know how normal voltage drops in an operating circuit
 to know the importance of continuity to a circuit
 to know the working definitions of “open” and “short” circuits
 to know how to use a terminal strip
 to understand the flow and direction of the current in a circuit

Materials:
9-volt battery
6-volt battery
3-volt battery
9-volt incandescent lamp
6-volt incandescent lamp
3-volt incandescent lamp
3 pairs of jumper wires
Board

Procedures:
1. In a pair of jumper wires, attach a jumper wire to the battery and attach one jumper wire to
the incandescent lamp. Do not connect both together.
2. There are three types of batteries that match with only a specific type of incandescent lamp.
In the disarrayed jumper wires on the board, connect the appropriate battery to the
incandescent lamp to light it not too bright that it may cause too much flow of the current and
damage the lamp or too dull because the voltage is too low.

How the circuit should be in the process

Explanation:
Connecting the appropriate battery to the lamp depending on the voltage they have and the capacity
they can handle is very important. Connecting a higher voltage battery to a lower voltage lamp can
only blow the lamp because there is too much voltage the battery can give. Connecting a lower
voltage battery to a lamp with higher voltage capacity can make the lamp only glow very little light.
Thus, using the appropriate battery in connecting to the lamp is very important, one that matches,
not too much and not too little.
