Everything Matters in a Mental Health Marathon

I. Introduction
It is not easy dealing with Mental Health. What is it? It includes our
emotional, psychological and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. It
also helps us determine how to handle our stress and make choices that may affect
others and ourselves as well. There are different types of Mental Health and a lot who
are having a difficult time battling it that cannot handle on their own. Most common
Mental Health illnesses are anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders and
psychotic disorders. We may think that these are common but little did we know, many
of them lost in the midst of their battle thinking to themselves that they cannot do it
anymore, that they do not deserve to be where they are and it leads them ending their
life to “rest”, to be “free” from their suffering but the problem is those people who tell
them “it’s going to be okay”.
A. What if you had what people with mental health have and they have just live normally
without being bothered? How will that make you feel? What will you do? How will you
control it? How will you get over it? Too many questions being asked but the only
question is “Why?” Why can’t mental health be removed with a snap of a finger? It’s
because it is not an easy process to just tell to that person they’ll get over it. No, what is
you failed at something you really want to achieve and then people tell you, “You’ll get
over it.” It feels like crap right? Then place yourself to what people with mental health
are feeling.
B. Pay Attention. Somehow, people don’t get this. Mental Health is not just mental
health, it’s what people who have this want to get rid of, but can’t. Observe what is the
reason as to why this keeps on happening. In some cases, others can do it, they can
get over it because they are determined to let the pain go. See how these mental health
cases affect the society and think of what will happen in the future if this doesn’t stop.
C. Mental Health is one of the problems in the society that needs to be talked about and
what can be done to prevent suicidal attempts and cases to happen.

II. The worst place where you can be is at your own head.
The point of this is a fact, knowing that a lot of us are stressed at some point in
our lives that results to us overthinking if we can actually do it or not. A mindset is first,
in a much easier way to tell is you have to clear your mind. Brushing negativity away
and putting the good things in place where it rightfully belongs, because what will be the
outcome if you keep on putting priority of something that will affect your lifestyle in a bad
way? Just a reminder, having a healthy way of overthinking about things is better than
going further through the train of negativity. Keep that in mind.
III. Let judgement be judgement.
Is it a big deal for people to let words slip out of their mouth without thinking
about it? To some people, yes. But from those who don’t care, hands down to you
because you know how to let them be. Knock-knock, this happens everywhere so don’t
put your attention to it. You’re just adding another rock in your bag so stop. Stop what
you’re doing and focus to what your attention is worth giving to. People judge and that’s
one of the things people with mental health has that can make them overthink and feel
down. Why do even people judge? Just think about it…right? One thing for sure is that
envy is the cause, it’s obvious. Well here’s a catch, in 1 out of 10 people that one
person is the one who thinks outside the box, that person gives a care to whom? No
one except themselves. It’s a mind of a mature thinker. Try? No, do it because if not
now? No buts, just do it and see what will happen if you think maturely.

IV. A marathon never ends.

This gives an advice to those people who have and don’t have mental health
illnesses, a friend of mine suffers from this. It’s hard for that friend to see the pain she’s
going through and that tells me people like her are having a difficult time to handle it.
Dealing with it is like a marathon, you keep on running and catching up to the positivity
or freedom rather, but the negativities are catching up to slow you down. It doesn’t work
that way, know how to stand up and fight on your own. Not everyone can help you carry
your bag along the way because you yourself can bring it all to places where you want
to go. Mental Health should be taken seriously, to help people who suffers from this and
help them get out. As a student, it is hard to balance school life and personal life
because of stress from everywhere, but it doesn’t mean I can’t manage it. Curing mental
health for that person to be fine is a process, it takes everything for that person to face
what they fear and for me those people who experiences it is stronger. In the end, all of
us will learn something from every mistake we commit and it will give a life lesson that
will awaken us to help each other and not be selfish of giving what we know can help a
person to do good as well.
