Standard Terms & Disclaimer of Liability

1) All participants and spectators take part in the competitions and events of Formula Student Germany GmbH (FSG) at their own
risk. They alone carry the civil and criminal liability for all kinds of damage caused by their intentional or negligent acts while
present on the site of the events.
2) All participants and spectators on entering the area of the events declare to waive any claims or rights to pursue action for
damages in connection with the event against: the participants; the FSG and the corporations associated with the FSG, their
presidents, executive bodies, managing directors, staff and members; the organiser, the officials and marshals, the circuit
owners, medical personnel, partners, the authorities’ entities, racing services and all other persons involved with the
organisation of the event; the agents and other persons employed to perform an obligation, the legal representatives, the full-
time employees and volunteers of all the above persons and entities as well as their members.
3) The disclaimer applies to claims for any legal reason whatsoever, so in particular to claims for damages based on contractual
and non-contractual liability and to claims from tortious acts.
4) The disclaimer does not apply for damages or harm to life, body or health or any other damage resulting from the deliberate or
gross negligent breach of duty, and not for any other damage resulting from the breach of a material contractual obligation
committed by the group of persons released from liability. In the case of damages resulting from a slightly negligent breach of
duty of a material contractual obligation, the liability for financial loss and for damage to property is limited to the typical
foreseeable damage.
5) Implied exclusions from liability shall remain unaffected by the above non-liability clause.
6) The possession, distribution and consumption of alcohol and of other drugs are prohibited on the site of the events for the time
of the events (0.0% blood alcohol content). Persons under the influence of alcohol or other drugs are neither permitted access to
the premises nor to remain there.
7) All participants and spectators must obey the orders of FSG personnel immediately and with due care. This is necessary to
safeguard their own safety and the maintenance of order. Barred areas, especially the racetrack, may not be entered under any
circumstances.
8) By accessing the wireless network, you acknowledge that you're of legal age, you have read and understood and agree to be
bound by this agreement. The wireless network service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either expressed or
implied. Your access to the network may be blocked, suspended, limited, or terminated at any time for any reason. You agree
not to use the wireless network for any purpose that is unlawful and take full responsibility of your acts. You accept that the
operator may log connections, connection attempts, connection meta data, addresses and traffic flow data to avoid unlawful use
of the network and to improve the service for future events. Data allowing to identify individuals such as MAC addresses will not
be made public or shared with third parties, unless required by German law.
9) Please be aware that this event will be documented using video and photography. The material will be used solely for the
purpose of making the event more open and understandable to the public. In legal terms: By participating in this event, you (the
visitor/participant), have given the right for the organisers to send or receive image or video media of yourself, without either
party owing special compensation. The organiser is allowed to release this image or video media themselves or forward it onto a
third party to release for use in audio-visual, print and online media.
10) Participants must attend the drivers briefings. Failure to attend may result in participants being barred from the event by the
organiser. The event organiser is not responsible for the condition of the race track and its facilities.
11) The participant is responsible for organising sufficient insurance cover (private liability, health insurance).
12) Participants must conduct themselves in a manner that does not endanger other participants for the duration of the event.
