INTRODUCTION

Nature and Background of the Study

Layer is the shortened term for laying hens or for female chicken that

are raised and housed specifically for their egg laying abilities although most

farm fresh eggs come from large-scale poultry farms. Eggs are always in

demand both from direct consumers and businesses that use eggs for their

products. Fresh table eggs of chicken, are one of the most important sources

of protein to the human body, and are considered as a source of cheap

animal protein. Egg framing is the most progressive and profitable enterprise

that plays a major role in our economy today. Eggs are used as foods and

ingredient for other baked goods. The Philippine sector (chicken egg) has

played a minor role in the poultry industry. It is not proverbial like the broiler

sector.

Farmvel Integrated Farm is located in R.M Tan, Ormoc City. The

farm which started with only few calamansi fruit trees is now an integrated and

diversified farm, owned by Ms. Ehla Rele. Ms Rele was awarded by Visayas
