Dear Sir

We are in the receipt of median drain design for Khodiyar VUP. Our observations are as under:

1. Kindly provide the GAD with invert level details of catchpit at both sides as shown in the drawings.
2. Please mention the slope of the outlet pipe. Also shown encasing details above HPC in line with IRC SP 87:2013.
3. In your submitted drawing, for drawing STC/GJ/NH-147/STR/R/01, TCS adopted is not in line with CA TCS. Kindly
rectify the drawing.
4. It is recommended to provide a manhole between Main Carriageway & Service Road at outfall location for
frequent cleaning purposes.
5. In submitted drawing STC/GJ/NH-147/STR/DR/01, for outlet pipe connection at lined drain no de-silting depth has
been proposed. Kindly provide a de-silting depth of 0.1 – 0.15m.
6. Structure design notes is yet not submitted to us considering vehicle impact thrust on median drain wall as well as
with wheel load type design for top slab. Please do needful for the same so we shall able to review and provide
our observations on it.
