COURSE DESCRIPTION
It is a three-unit course that convey the analytic skills and approach entrepreneurs adopt in identifying opportunity and creating new ventures. This course aims to develop and
enhance knowledge and managerial skills that are necessary for dealing with the recurring issues involved in starting, growing, and harnessing the value of new ventures systems.
This course will also include personal entrepreneurial competencies, management styles, business ethics, responsibilities and duties of an entrepreneur.

This course will also focus on the general office management that covers different administrative positions and duties. Students learn ways to supervise, how to communicate
effectively with staff and how to build relationships. Topics in time management, leadership, appraisal processes and discipline are also covered. Some programs may also offer
an office management course that prepares students for small business management

General Course Objectives :


At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
Entrepreneurship:
1. Develop an understanding of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial process.
2. Integrate functional area material as it applies to new venture creation and growth.
3. Develop an understanding of the role and activities of entrepreneurship in a global setting.
4. Provide an opportunity to design a webpage for a new venture.
Office Management:
1. To classify the changing nature of the workplace.
2. Identify skills and qualities necessary for administrative professionals.
3. Design an event a conference/seminar emphasizing an administrative professional’s responsibilities.
