His daughter does not respond to his letters.
Willie left for another manager.
Maggie did not follow his rule:”always protect yourself”.

4. What stops Frankie from getting what he needs (internal conflict)? (8 points)
Frankie cannot forgive himself for Mrs. Scrap eye, for not talking with his daughter and for
keeping Maggie alive, he blames himself for all this and does not have peace.

5. What happens to Frankie after Maggie dies and he leaves the hospital at the very end of
the film?
After Maggie dies Frankie left and never came back to the gym. Nobody knows
where Frankie is. Eddie Scrap hopes that Frankie will find forgiveness and peace
whenever Frankie is. When Maggie showed to Frankie the Ira’s Roadside Diner,
Frankie tried lemon pie and said that: “know I’m ready to go to Heaven”. Last
shot of the film shows Frankie at the Ira’s Roadside Diner, the place that he could
find what he needed –Peace.

Maggie smiles and cries at the same time she was ready to go.
