A. INTRODUCTION :
This module covers the knowledge and skills and attitude in performing pre and post operation
procedures in earth-moving equipment. Visual Checking is discussed in this module, this is essential in operating the
backhoe for safety purposes. Checking pre and post operation is important for a backhoe operator for continuous
operation in the construction. It is the responsibility of the backhoe operator to record and report any signs of
abnormality before using the heavy equipment.

C. ASSESSMENT PLAN

Written Test on

Identifying and refilling top up deficiencies if fluid below maintenance manual


Note abnormal conditions in checklist and reprt to authorized person
Check operator serviceable parts in accordance with equipment checklist and manufacturer’s procedures
Checking safety device and accessories for proper functions in accordance with safe operating procedures.
Accomplishing/submitting daily equipment time record/report according to company rules and regulations

The film viewing has greatly helped the students in acquiring more knowledge in preparation for our demonstration. I
