2. What is the PUPCET performance of the students in the following subject areas?
Table 4 shows the PUPUCET Performance of the Respondents as to Subject. Based on the given, it
shows the performance of the respondents from different subjects such as Science and Mathematics, Verbal
Reasoning, and Abstract Reasoning. The mean of 78.98 in Science and Mathematics, 77.60 in Verbal
.

Table 5 shows the Significant Difference in the PUPCET Performance of the Respondents in terms of
Gender.
Based on the given table, it shows the computed t-value and p- value performance of the male and
female respondents from different subjects such as Science and Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, and Abstract
Reasoning.
In Science and Mathematics, the computed p- value is .24; in Verbal Reasoning, the computed p- value
is .34; and in Abstract Reasoning, the computed p- value is .18. It means that, it is greater than the level of
significance 0.05. Therefore, the researchers failed to reject the hypothesis that there is a significant
difference in the PUPCET performance of the respondents as to gender. There is no sufficient evidence that
the male and female respondents had significant difference in the PUPCET performance in Science and
Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, and Abstract Reasoning.

Table 6 shows the Significant Difference in the PUPCET Performance of the Respondents as to Civil
Status.
Based on the table above, “Significant Differences in the PUPCET performance of the Respondents as
to Civil Status,’’ it shows the computed t-value and p- value performance of the single and married
respondents from different subjects such as Science and Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, and Abstract
Reasoning.
In Science and Mathematics, the computed p- value is .64, in Verbal Reasoning, the computed p- value
is .55; and in Abstract Reasoning, the computed p- value is .58. It means that, it is greater than the level of
significance 0.05. Therefore, the researchers failed to reject the hypothesis that there is a significant
difference in the PUPCET performance of the respondents as to civil status. There is no sufficient evidence

Table 7 shows the Significant Difference in the PUPCET Performance of the Respondents as to Type
of School.
Based on the table above, “Significant Differences in the PUPCET performance of the Respondents as
to Type of School,’’ it shows the computed t-value and p- value performance of the private and public school
from different subjects such as Science and Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, and Abstract Reasoning.
In Science and Mathematics, the computed p- value is .03 and it is lesser than the level of significance
0.05. Therefore, the researchers reject the hypothesis that there is a significant difference in the PUPCET
performance of the respondents as to type of school. There is sufficient evidence that the private and public
school had significant difference in the PUPCET performance in Science and Mathematics.
In Verbal Reasoning, the computed p- value is .32 and in Abstract Reasoning, the computed p- value is
.85. It means that, it is greater than the level of significance 0.05. Therefore, the researchers failed to reject
the hypothesis that there is a significant difference in the PUPCET performance of the respondents as to type
of school. There is no sufficient evidence that the private and public school had significant difference in the
PUPCET performance in Verbal Reasoning and Abstract Reasoning.
