KORELASI RIWAYAT HEMODIALISIS DENGAN PAIN DURING
ARTERIOVENOUS FISTULA (AVF) CANNULATION PADA PASIEN
HEMODIALISIS DI RSUD RATU ZALECHA MARTAPURA
(Ainun Sajidah, Yeni Mulyani)
xviii + 92 halaman ; 12 tabel ; 14 gambar + 8 lampiran

CORRELATION OF HEMODIALYSIS HISTORY WITH PAIN DURING
ARTERIOVENOUS FISTULA (AVF) CANNULATION IN HEMODIALYSIS
PATIENTS IN RATU ZALECHA MARTAPURA HOSPITAL
(Ainun Sajidah, Yeni Mulyani)
xviii + 92 pages ; 12 tables ; 14 images + 8 attachments

Background: Cannulation of AVF causes pain in patients due to stimulation of large

needles. Generally, people who often feel pain tend to anticipate more intense pain.
This is due to the control process of neurokortek and is influenced by past experience.
This study aims to determine the correlation between the history of hemodialysis with
pain during AVF cannulation in hemodialysis patients. Method: The method of this
research was cross-sectional correlational with a population of patients undergoing
hemodialysis twice a week and a sample of 53 people with a simple random sampling
technique. Data on pain during cannulation of AVF were taken on a VAS scale and
analyzed by Spearman rank. Result: The result of this study showed that there was no
correlation between the history of hemodialysis with pain during AVF cannulation in
hemodialysis patients at Ratu Zalecha Martapura Hospital, with a p-value of 0.124 , r
= -0.214. Conclusion: Other investigators should be able to examine other factors that
affect pain during AVF cannulation, such as coping mechanisms and stabbing methods
of AVF.
