CONTENT STANDARDS M.S.: 5.3 Express an imaginative response to literary texts.

C.S.: 5.2 Express personal responses to literary texts.

LEARNING M.S.: 5.3.1 Respond imaginatively and intelligibly through creating


STANDARDS simple picture stories, simple poems and cartoon stories.

C.S. : 5.2.1 Say in simple words and phrases how a text makes them
feel.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:

M.S.: write at least 3 sentences by describing a character in a


postcard.
M.S.: write at least 3 sentences by describing a character in a
postcard with guided sentence structure.
C.S.: find the correct match of partners according the flags,
nationalities, name of country and food.

ELEMENTS

ACTIVITIES 1. Teacher sing a song. Pupils listen attentively.

PRE-LESSON 2. Teacher ask questions based on the song. Pupils give respond
by showing up their red or blue pen.

LESSON 1. Pupils are given a piece of paper. Those papers can be a


picture of a flag, the name of a country, a significant food
DEVELOPMENT from a country or the nationality.
2. Pupils start to find their group member that are related to the
paper they get.
3. In groups, pupils have to talk about the paper that they are
holding using the sentence structure learnt. (Eg, I’m from
Malaysia)
4. Teacher asks pupils to write a postcard to their pan-pal based
on the papers pupils have using the sentence structure they
had learnt.
5. Each group have to exchange their postcard to the other
group. Pupils try to mark on their friends’ work.
6. Teacher guides when necessary.

POST-LESSON1. Pupils present their work in class and gallery walk takes place.
2. Teacher wraps up the lesson and instils the moral value.
