METHODOLOGY
RESEARCH DESIGN
This study will use a mixed method for gathering the data and information
needed for the study. The researchers will use this kind of method because they used a
survey questionnaire for the Quantitative Data, while recording materials and gadgets for
the Qualitative Data. The researchers will use the Causal Comparative\Quasi
Experimental Research because it aims to know the perceptions of every single-parents,
and the cause and effect of single-parenting to them. Aside from Causal\Quasi
Experimental Research for the Quantitative, the researchers will also use the
Phenomenological Study for the Qualitative Research because it aims to come up with
the very essence of human life experiences.
The sample for this study are 75 single-parents. The sampling technique that the
researchers will use is the Purposive Sampling for the study. Purposive Sampling will be
the one to use because the researchers had their own criteria in getting their specified
respondents to their research study. The criteria needed for the study are those single-
parents themselves who are solely responsible for all of the responsibilities that are given
to them, for them to overcome the challenges and obstacles of their family.

In this study, the researchers will use the survey questionnaire as an instrument
for the Quantitative Research and an interview for the Qualitative Research for collecting
the data needed for the study. The interview that will be going to perform is one on one
way. Since the Quantitative Research specializes in numerical data and Qualitative
Research for descriptive data. These method are the ones that will be going to use by the
researchers to better understand the perception and experiences of the researcher’s
respondents.
RESEARCH INSTRUMENTATION
The instruments that will be going to use for the study in collecting the data are the
questionnaires, pencil and paper, and even recording audios. These instruments are the
ones that will be going to use so that researchers will still have a complete copy so that if
it may be lost or it may have been accidentally deleted, there will be no such a problem
for them.
