A5 - Individual Analysis Report

Assignment Details
Due Date October 11, (Friday week 10), 10am
Submission as pdf via turnitin on course Wattle site
Value 25%
Report Length 4 pages maximum
Course Learning Outcomes: 3,4, 5
Participation Individual
Workload ≈ 10 hours (not including class time)

Description
This report will detail the individual analysis you have completed that supports your
project teams’ Test and Evaluation (T&E) plan for your teams’ System of Interest (SoI).
The report should:
• state any major assumptions made.
• detail any data collected and its source.
• detail how you selected, adapted and applied relevant analysis processes and
tools to your teams’ SoI in support the team T&E.
• discuss challenges and limitations in the application of the analysis tools.
• summarise the outcomes and findings from the analysis for your teams’ project.
You will need to adapt analysis tools to the scope of your analysis, the availability of
data, and resources available. You should look to conduct and include further
research and data into your analysis beyond that covered seminars (including your
expert seminar). You may be able to find existing data sources or generate your our
data, through modelling, simulations, surveys or experiments.

1
Marking Criteria
You will be assessed according to:
1. appropriate adaptation of the analysis process and tools selected for your team
project SoI including major assumptions made.
2. correct use and understanding of the analysis method, including data used.
3. discussion of the analysis including challenges and limitations and implications
of the findings.

Assignment Submission
Submit a 4-page maximum individual report. This should include:
• cover page using the template provided (not included in page limit).
• adaption of analysis processes and tools for the SoI and assumptions made (≈
1½ pages).
• application of the analysis processes and tools to the project and outcomes
generated (≈ 1½ pages).
• discussion of the analysis processes and tools for the project (≈ 1 page).
• references (not included in page limit).
• supporting material such as detailed working or calculations, diagrams,
images, figures, data, … related to your analysis or modelling.
Submit the report as a pdf file containing all of the report sections and any supporting
material via the turnitin link on the course Wattle site. Use the file naming
convention:
[student_number]_[name]_[team_number]_[workshop_day_time]_A5.pdf

For example, this could be U9214901_Jeremy_Smith _6C_ Tuesday0800_A5.pdf
