GENERAL STATEMENT

Leisure can improve the productivity of employee and workers.

THESIS STATEMENT
It has been recognized that mental health of employees is an important determinant and that
poor mental health is a contributory factor to a range of illness that can be detrimental to one’s
productivity. Taking occasional time off for leisure can boost productivity by generally improving
one’s health and wellbeing.

Leisure enhance creativity which can lead to productivity.

SUPPORTING IDEA 1
Creativity comes in the moments of calm and relaxed state as such in leisure which flights off
imaginations and burst of insights that led to inventions and innovations. Nurturing creativity
in workplace will allow a more uplifting work environment which can be a powerful motivator
rather than monotonously going through daily task.

Pushing laborers to the extent of exhaustion will only hurt their productivity.

SUPPORTING IDEA 2
Tired employees will make them resentful towards their job, feeling excruciated by the workload
which they are appointed causing poor quality of work and only led them to make costly
mistakes with time.

By spending time with family and friends, able to have hobbies and even developing new skills

Balancing leisure time with work is important to guarantee a sustainable engaging relationship
between the workers and their job.

COMMENTS/RECOMMENDATION
Appropriate time off for personal leisure should be given to every employee and employer
should understand that every people needs their personal time.
The working world we live today has a relentless need to focus on improving
productivity. While breaks are often seen as slacking off, benefits of leisure can be
substantial to improve productivity of employees. It has been recognized that mental
health of employees is an important determinant and that poor mental health is a

long-hours. But, pushing laborers to the extent of exhaustion will only hurt their
productivity. Tired employees will make them resentful towards their job, feeling

make them happier to able to concentrate more while working. By spending time with

In conclusion, Leisure should be considered a significant contributing factor to
