First of all, lets pray and thx unto our God, who has given us mercies and blessing, so we can join
in this event without any trouble and obstacles.
Secondly, i would like to intriduce my self. Oke my name is Mawaddah Utami and i`m from a S1
midwifery study program student. Well ladies and gentleman, in this ocassion i would like to
deliver a speech about “The Characteristics of a goof leader”.
We know that not just anyone can lead properly and correctly. Usually people who want to be
leaders are people who have a leadership spirit and that is instinct.
As young people, we must have a leadership spirit from an early age , so that in the future indonesia
can become a developed country only with it’s people who have leadership qualities.
But all....do you know the characteristics of a good leader?
Character is the main key to being a good leader. A leader must be able to se an example for others,
especially member of his team. It`s character will determine your success or failure in various
aspect of life.
There are 7 main character that must be possessed by a leader. These caharcters are honest,
proactive, flexible, communicative, open minded, intelligent and confident.
1. Honest, honesty is very important thing in leadership. A good leader will always be honest
with his team members or clients for any risk or benefits that exist.
2. Proactive leaders are leaders who have initiative and responsibility.
3. Flexible, as a leader you are requaired to be both strong and flexible. Flexible leaders are
leaders who are able to adapt to any situation and condition.
4. Communicative, a leader must be able to maintain communication with his team members.
A good leader will ask more questions, consider various choises, and lead in the right
direction.
5. Open minded, an open minded leader will consider all options before making a decision
6. Confident. A leader must be confident. You must be sure of every decision you make.
However, confident must a accompanied by humility.
7. Intelligent, a leader must intelligent and extensive knowledge.
Well ledies and gentleman, hopefully with this speech can provide benefits and useful for us. So
that, we can become a good leader that is beneficial to our lives and can be responsible. Hopefully,
we as young people and the successor to the nation that can be relied on by everyone.
