reasons and information gathered throughout the unit

reader can understand their purpose of their writing
SWBAT… introduce their opinion with a strong well crafted introduction sentence
SWBAT… write a strong concluding sentence for their opinion responses that support what they
have talked about in their writing
SWBAT… write informative pieces that demonstrate their ability to thoughtfully communicate
information to the audience clearly
SWBAT...demonstrate that they can make their writing flow by link various thoughts and ideas
throughout their writing using the appropriate link words and phrases talked about in mini lesson
SWBAT… write narratives that based on events that they think happened to a group of people or
person in the past during their immigration experience

the audience in their narrative writing projects throughout the unit
