ear Sir/Madam,

We are now offering 2 programmes for nurses in New Zealand :

1) Registration with NZNC (New Zealand Nursing Council) => CAP (Competence Assessment
Programme) => work as a registered nurse => become a citizen of New Zealand
2) Work and study and improve your IELTS score => Registration with NZNC (New Zealand
Nursing Council) => CAP (Competence Assessment Programme) => work as a registered nurse
=> become a citizen of New Zealand

WHO CAN APPLY?

Registered Nurses with 6 months work experience at least. Any experience counts: hospital
nurse, volunteering nurse, school nurse, company nurses etc.

WHAT KIND OF VISA WILL I GET?

This depends on your IELTS score. If you have IELTS 7.0 and above, you can go straight for
CAP (programme no. 1).

If your IELTS score is below 7.0, you will get a student visa first (programme no. 2). Then you will
need to study English in order to improve your IELTS result, take IELTS again, reach 7.0, then
you can register with NZNC, pass the CAP and work as a registered nurse.

CAN I WORK DURING MY STUDIES?

Yes. You can work officially 20 hours during the working days and unlimited time during the
weekends and holidays.

HOW MUCH MONEY WILL I MAKE DURING MY STUDIES?

Around 1,500 NZ dollars per month (51,000 peso), based on 13-14 NZ dollars per hour.

HOW MUCH MONEY REGISTERED NURSES MAKE IN NEW ZEALAND ?

50,000-100,000 NZ dollars / 1,700,000 – 3,400,000 peso per year.

WHY SHOULD I STUDY ENGLISH IN NEW ZEALAND ? IT IS CHEAPER TO STUDY IN THE

PHILIPPINES !
You will get the desired IELTS results sooner if you study in an English-speaking environment. In
addition, you can work all the time during the studies, so you do not lose anything.

CAN I COMBINE IELTS RESULTS FROM 2 OR MORE EXAMS?

Yes, but only within 12 months.

WHERE?
Auckland , which is the largest city in New Zealand , on the Northern Island .

HOW LONG SHOULD I STUDY?

This depends on your current IELTS results:
1) If your IELTS results are 7.0 and above – CAP takes 6-8 weeks only.
2) If your IELTS results are 6.0 or 6.5 – you will study English and work 24 weeks, then CAP
6-8 weeks only.
3) If your IELTS results are 5.5 – you will need to study English additional 8 weeks.
4) If your IELTS results are 5.0 – you will need to study English additional 16 weeks.

CAN I BRING MY FAMILY?

Yes. Spouses, children, unmarried partners. But no parents or siblings. Your spouses/partners
can work full time if you get a student or working visa. Your children get free education.

CAN I BECOME A CITIZEN OF NEW ZEALAND ?

Yes. When you start working as a registered nurse, you can apply immediately for the residency.
After 3 years you become a permanent resident; after 3 more years you become a citizen of New
Zealand . Citizens of New Zealand can travel without any visas to most of the European
Countries, Australia , U.S. and Canada . If you are a registered nurse in New Zealand , it is easier
to find a job as a nurse in Australia or UK .

I DO NOT HAVE IELTS RESULTS, WHAT TO DO?

Take IELTS as soon as possible. We can help you with IELTS review in Makati and in Naga City ,
Bicol.

IS WORK GUARANTEED?
Since we are not a recruitment agency, we do not provide jobs. But the colleges help nurses to
find jobs, and CAP course providers are tied up with hospitals. Many hospitals and nursing
agencies are ready to reimburse you for the CAP costs if you sign a contract with them for 2
years.

IS SHOW MONEY REQUIRED?

Yes, for the student visa.

WILL ACCOMMODATION BE PROVIDED?

Yes. There are 2 types of accommodation: homestay or shared apartments. Homestay is more
expensive (about 800 NZ dollars per month) and it includes meals. Shared apartment will cost
around 300 NZ dollars per month.

HOW MUCH DOES THIS PROGRAMME COST?

The total cost of each programme is around 250k peso, of which only 25k is payable in advance.
Most of the money (70%) is payable AFTER you get the visa. Detailed payment schemes are
available at our offices.
