The dominance of flowering plants have baffled scientists and defied the Theory
off evolution by Charles Darwin when the vegetation of the earth was dominated by
angiosperms. However, scientists soon discoursed the reason for their quick and
widespread existence. This is due to their hydraulic ability or their past and efficient way
of transporting water internally.

Being a flower enthusiast, I am thrilled to learn some of the behavior of flowering

plants. Their high photosynthetic capacities that allow them to have a dense network of
leaf veins make them survive and thrive. These plants are beneficial to animals and
human beings and their existence on a wide part of the earth is advantageous. This kind
of study must be continue in order for us to learned farther about the empire of the
flowering plants.

Flowering plants don’t only beautify the Earth. They also provide us challenges
on scientific theories and experiments. In the Theory of evolution, they contracted the
declaration of slow process of evolution.

Mimicking the process of photosynthesis with artificial leaves in an effort to

generate energy is a very important focus of researches and studies nowadays. It led
them to report their recipe for the "Artificial Inorganic Leaf" (AIL), based on the natural
leaf and titanium dioxide (TiO2) — a chemical already recognized as a photocatalyst for
hydrogen production. The world needs an alternative source of fuel and energy and the
artificial leaves may be the answer.

I think that producing energy by mimicking the process of photosynthesis can be

achieved of there is a relentless efforts among scientists to pursue this objective,
scientists all over the world especially in China, Japan, Germany, USA, etc have been
conducting experiments on this matter and so far they have indicated a feasible results.
In the near future, the amazing wonder of science may yield an innovative outcome on
this experiment. The abundance of leaves in our environment maybe replicated by
artificial ones that can function similarly as the natural. In this case, the energy problem
in the world will be mitigated.

I believe that artificial photosynthesis is not an artificial dream. Since scientists

have now produced to Artificial Inorganic Leaf (AIL), technology in this area is now
girding towards a successful outcome. I’m optimistic that someday, both natural and
artificial leaves will make our lives better.
