In continuation to the notification issued vide Advt.No.3/RC/Ser(T)/2016,


dt. 24-06-2016, the posts of University Officers in Dr.YSRHU are re-notified and
applications are invited from those who become eligible subsequently.
The candidates who applied already need not apply again to the same posts and if
they feel to submit any additional information, they can submit

All the information pertaining to number of vacancies, qualifications,


registration fee, general and other information is available in the University website
www.drysrhu.edu.in. The filled in application along with DD should reach the
University on or before 06-12-2017 by 4.00 PM.

The candidates who applied already need not apply again to the same posts and
if they feel to submit any additional information, they can submit without enclosing any
required fee (DD). They can apply to the other posts for which they are eligible and
if they have not applied to them earlier.

The filled in application along with DD should reach the University on or before
06-12-2017 by 4.00 pm.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. DEAN OF HORTICULTURE :

Essential :
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.
b. Master’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture
c. Ph.D Degree in Horticulture or any related disciplines of Horticulture
d. Minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension /
Administration in Horticulture, out of which atleast five years should be as
Professor / Principal Scientist / Associate Dean or equivalent rank.
e. Significant professional achievements in his/her field of specialization/activity.

Desirable :
a. Knowledge and experience of planning, organizing and administering teaching
programmes and curriculum development.
b. Experience in Teaching is desirable.
c. Working experience in Horticulture field.
d. Unblemished record throughout the career in the past.

2. DEAN OF PG STUDIES :
Essential :
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.
b. Master’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture
c. Ph.D Degree in Horticulture or any related disciplines of Horticulture
d. Minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension /
Administration in Horticulture, out of which atleast five years should be as

a. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.

d. Minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension /
Administration in Horticulture/Agriculture with 5 years experience in Horticultural crops.
e. Atleast five years should be as Professor / Principal Scientist / Associate Dean or
equivalent rank.

Desirable :
a. Wide experience of student problems, management and placement.
b. Training and experience in organizing co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of
students.
c. Working experience in Horticulture field.
d. Unblemished record throughout the career in the past.
4. DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH :
Essential :
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.
b. Master’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture
c. Ph.D Degree in Horticulture or any related disciplines of Horticulture
d. Minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension /
Administration in Horticulture / Agriculture, out of which atleast five years should be
as Professor / Principal Scientist / Associate Dean or equivalent rank.
e. Should have worked in Research for alteast five years.
f. Significant professional achievements in his field of specialization/activity.
g. Experience as part of duties in conducting basic/applied research of high quality as
evidenced by published work/technologies developed.

Desirable
a. Knowledge and experience of planning, organizing and administering research
programmes.
b. Working experience in Horticulture field.
c. Unblemished record throughout the career in the past.

5. DIRECTOR OF EXTENSION :
Essential :
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.
b. Master’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture
c. Ph.D Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.
d. Minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension /
Administration in Horticulture/Agriculture with 5 years experience in Horticultural crops.
e. Atleast five years should be as Professor / Principal Scientist / Associate Dean or
equivalent rank.
f. Significant professional achievements in his/her field of specialization/activity.

Desirable :
a. Knowledge and experience of planning, organizing and administering extension
programmes.

6. CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS :
Essential :
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.
b. Master’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture
c. Ph.D Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.
d. Minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension /
Administration in Horticulture/Agriculture with 5 years experience in Horticultural crops.
e. Atleast five years should be as Professor / Principal Scientist / Associate Dean or
equivalent rank.

Desirable :
a. Wide experience in setting & moderating the question papers & conduct of examinations.
b. Should have the experience in counseling of admissions.
c. Working experience in Teaching and Horticulture field.
d. Unblemished record throughout the career in the past.
7. REGISTRAR :

Essential :

a. Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture

b. Master’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture

c. Ph.D Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture

d. Minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension /


Administration in Horticulture/Agriculture out of which atleast five years should be as
Professor/Principal Scientist/Associate Dean or equivalent rank.

e. Minimum of five years of administrative experience as head of the Institute/Station


in a responsible management position dealing with academic matters / research and
extension management / service matters and financial matters.

Desirable :

a. Unblemished record throughout the career in the past.

8. ESTATE OFFICER :

Essential :

a. Must have B.E. degree in Civil Engineering of a recognized University.

b. Must have rendered service as an Executive Engineer in Government/Quasi


Government or University for not less than 10 years with an excellent record.

c. Experience in designing, estimating and construction of Educational and Residential


buildings and complexes on large scale.

d. Experience in designing, estimation and construction works related to water supply,


sanitary and electrical works pertaining to buildings in large scale.

Desirable :

a. Experience and qualification in ground water survey and execution of irrigation projects.

b. Experience as a Superintending Engineer in execution of building works spread out


in a large jurisdiction.

c. Unblemished record throughout the career in the past.


GENERAL INFORMATION

1. The term of appointment is 3 years from the date of assumption of charge or till the
incumbent attains the age of superannuation i.e., 62 years (60 years for Estate Officer),
whichever is earlier.

2. Selected candidates shall be governed by Dr.Y.S.R.Horticultural University (Conditions of


Service) Statutes 2007 and they are eligible for new Contributory Pension Scheme of the
University and such other conditions as may be prescribed by the University from time to
time (other than those who are under Dr.YSRHU/ANGRAU service as on 01-09-2004).

3. University reserves the right not to fill all or any of the vacancies notified. Prescribed
application form for the above posts can be downloaded from the University website
www.drysrhu.edu.in. Such filled in Application Form along with Registration Fee should
reach the Vice-Chancellor, Administrative Office, Dr.Y.S.R.Horticultural University,
Venkataramannagudem, West Godavari District – 534 101, Andhra Pradesh on or
before 06-12-2017 at 4.00 pm. Applications received after 06-12-2017 at 4.00 pm
shall not be entertained. The University is not responsible for late receipt of applications
due to postal delay.

4. The Registration Fee of Rs. 1,250/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 750/- for SC/ST
should be sent through a crossed Demand Draft in favour of ‘The Comptroller, Dr.Y.S.R.
Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem’ payable at Tadepalligudem, West
Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh on any Nationalized Bank. No Money Order/Postal
Order shall be entertained.

5. Separate application should be submitted for each category of post.

6. For reckoning the required experience for the post, the experience in the concerned
subject or discipline in Teaching/Research/Extension shall only be considered as
relevant experience.

7. The applicants should mention service particulars in Employment Record.

8. Certified copies of Degree or Provisional Certificates and Marks Sheets/Transcripts


should be enclosed to the application. Originals shall be brought at the time of interview.

9. While filling up of the Application Form Part-B :

a. Under Item No. 2 (meant for details or qualifications) the period of studies should be
indicated clearly with date, month and year of joining and leaving studies. If any of
the applicants did their M.Sc. or Ph.D. by research, it should be clearly indicated.
b. Under Item No.7 (meant for employment record) the details of service rendered by
the applicant in different cadres with date, month and year of appointment and scale
of pay drawn. The period of study during the service should be indicated clearly.
c. Service rendered outside Dr.YSRHU if any should be clearly indicted. Certificate
showing proof of service/experience outside Dr.YSRHU should be enclosed.
d. Enclose 5 sets of Application form i.e., Part-B along with Publications.

10. Applicants other than those in the service of Dr.YSRHU should send their applications
through proper channel so as to reach the University within the prescribed date.

11. The in-service candidates of Dr.YSRHU may send their applications directly.

12. The applicants should appear for interview when called at their own cost.
