Objective:
Simulate and prove the result of three functions given in the form of the main symbols of
logic gates with the format from IEEE 91-1984. This 3 functions must be simulated in Active
HDL and they must proved in the form of truth tables.
Introduction:
Logic gates:
In electronics, a logic gate is an idealized or physical device implementing a Boolean
function; that is, it performs a logical operation on one or more binary inputs and produces
a single binary output. Depending on the context, the term may refer to an ideal logic gate,
one that has for instance zero rise time and unlimited fan-out, or it may refer to a non-ideal
physical device.
Some of the main logic gates using format IEEE 91-1984 are:

Results
To do this practice first we need to make the truth table with all the inputs and outputs in
order to move on to the block diagram.
Figure. 1.1 Truth Table
Since we have the truth table with the outputs and inputs, we go to the block diagram
which we have to analyze the gates that we will use to generate the necessary operations
for the outputs.
Figure. 1.2 Block Diagram
For our simulation we have to add values to the inputs with their time interval.
Discussion
To better understand this part of logical operations it is necessary to understand what the
truth table consists of as it is our main tool to perform a logical circuit well.
Since we have analyzed the inputs and the possible combinations for the outputs we need,
we must understand the logic gates and which we need to achieve the outputs we want.
Conclusion
Cortez Bautista Pablo
This practice has helped me to understand a little better firstly the use of software for
programming of this type and secondly remember the use of logic gates and truth tables to
make the necessary operations to manipulate outputs depending on the inputs.
