1.) I agree with the definition of true/authentic freedom. We were given a choice between good
and evil, but it has always been said to do good and avoid evil, yet the choice persists. We can
choose the right thing. By doing so we can achieve true freedom. If we take responsibility for
our own life people should be allowed to choose freely how they want to live as long as it is
compatible with the common good. The distinction between license and freedom is a moral
code. People tend to be apathetic to the social effects and responsibilities when it comes to
choosing between contraries. The moral law is seen as constrictive and often put aside and
ignored. It does not make us free but licensed. Actions should be thought of thoroughly at first
with true inclination towards the common good and follows the laws written in our nature and
those revealed by God so that we can be truly free.

2.) I think some people have the definition of freedom and licentiousness wrong. In today’s context
they often seem to associate freedom with doing whatever wants. They do not consider the
moral law and ignore it. That is really dangerous because the perversion and abuse of freedom
can become a weapon for the destruction of the society. For example, as with some teens these
days, they think that they can do whatever they want just because they are now teens. They
start to rebel and make bad choices. They are often misguided but the still did not consider the
limits of the natural law and the moral law. They can have intercourse at an early age which is
not true freedom because one should be ready for when time come to the right partner.
Another example is when criminals do crime. They think they can steal just because they can.
This false sense of freedom can lead them to do more bad actions such as murder. Just because
you can doesn’t mean you should.

3.) I think I am at a seven because I have an inclination towards the common good. I also consider
my responsibilities that I have to do, also I consider the moral obligations and societal
responsibilities whenever I take action. But I am still human, I get tempted and commit sins. I
feel regret for these because I may have been ignorant to some of my choices.

4.) Yes, I would like to become more free. By keeping a true sense of freedom and committing
devotedly to doing good and just actions.

5.) Yes, I agree. By freedom (rooted in his intellect and will), man has the power to act or not to act.
He can shape his own life, mature in goodness, and gain a perfection which is rooted in God. In
true freedom, we can grow by doing what is ought to be done and good actions.it makes the
doer free from wrong influences. In the contrary, doing evil leads man into a "slavery of sin"
