NanoPlast AEA
Water reducing and air entertaining concrete admixture

Description NanoPlast AEA is a chloride free air entraining and water reducing admixture based on
synthetic surfactant and special polymer. NanoPlast AEA acts at the interface between the
mixing water and cement/aggregate particles to produce microscopic air bubbles, which are
evenly distributed throughout the concrete. The entrained air enhances durability by providing
protection against the rapid temperature changes found in freezing and thawing conditions and
with the use of de-icing salts.
Primary applications • Roads and bridge decks, airport runways and taxiways and other concrete exposed to
potential frost damage.
• To improve cohesion and workability of concrete mixes where poorly graded aggregates
must be used and bleeding, segregation or sand runs occur.
Advantages • Air entrainment increases the resistance of concrete to attack by frost and de-icing
salts, reducing problems of surface scaling and concrete failure.
• Entrained air bubbles assist in the formation of stable cohesive mix, reducing segregation
and bleeding.
• Air entrainment improves workability and helps produce a dense, uniform, close textured
surface free from gravel nests and sand runs, further enhancing durability.
• Excellent air bubble stability allows use with a wide range of aggregate qualities and mix
conditions.
• Typical dosage levels are higher than for standard air entraining admixtures, allowing
increased accuracy of dosing and better control in critical situations.
• Synthetic basis reduces potential for incompatibility problems during dispensing of
admixture combinations.

NanoForm O
Oil based, low VOC, concrete form release agent

Description NanoForm O is a concrete form release agent with exceptional performance and ease of use
that is unmatched by water based form release products. It is a specially formulated synthetic
based mould oil, having release properties which are superior to those of a conventional
mould oil. NanoForm O is supplied as a clear liquid ready for direct application. In addition to
preventing adhesion of the cement matrix to the form work, NanoForm O allows air, which
would otherwise be trapped, to escape from the surface during placing and vibration. This
air release property minimizes surface blemishes and results in a substantial reduction in
remedial costs.
Primary applications NanoForm O can be used on steel, timber, plywood and plastic form work
Advantages • Forms release easily and cleanly from concrete
• No staining
• Dramatically reduces the occurrence of voids and bug holes
• Tolerant to freezing conditions during storage and transportation
• Treated forms are ready for use quickly easy storage and shipping
• Very low odor
• Ready to use
Specifications Corp of Engineers CE 1401.01 (17.4) & CW 03101 (5.3)
GSA CE 204 (3-03-K) ACI 347-68.
Packaging 200 Ltr Drums.
Storage Store in a dry and cool place below 35°C. Protect from direct sunlight.
Shelf life 12 months if stored properly in original unopened packaging.
Properties Appearance: White liquid
Specific gravity: 0.9 + 0.01 at 20°C.
Instruction for use Mould preparation: All moulds, new or used, must be cleaned of surface deposits of rust
, concrete, oil or other materials. Inadequate cleaning may lead to surface blemishes due
to the adhering material. The use of a proprietary chemical degreaser or acid cleaning is
recommended.
Application: If only limited use of the form work is envisaged, new timber moulds may be
coated directly with blended NanoForm O solution. If forms are regularly re-used the surface
should initially be coated with a suitable polyurethane sealer. This provides increased
protection to the timber surface, improves ease of cleaning and prevents the buildup of
large residual levels of release agent in the timber of the form which may lead, over time, to
increased surface dusting or retardation. Blended NanoForm O can be applied by all normal
methods, including brush, sponge and conventional spray. Where suitable, spray application
is recommended. Non-absorbent surfaces require a single application. New, unsealed, timber
surfaces should be re-coated if delay in use of the mould leads to absorption of the release
agent into the timber.
Coverage Depending on the porosity and texture of the mould surface, typical coverage rates of 20
to 60 m² /liter will be obtainable from NanoForm O. Best results will be obtained with the
thinnest practical coating. Over application should be avoided. Excessive application on flat
surfaces or which leads to pooling of release agent in the corners of forms is uneconomic
and can lead to surface dusting or, in worst cases, surface retardation.
Cleaning & Disposal NanoForm O may be removed from tools and equipment with diesel when it is wet. On drying
may be removed with NanoSolvent. Don’t dispose of into water or soil but according to local
regulations.
Precautions/Limitations After application of NanoForm O, the treated area must be protected from rain before the
concrete placed.
Health & safety Possible risk of irreversible effects in contact with skin. Wear suitable protective clothing ,
gloves and eye / face protection. Barrier creams provide additional skin protection. Should
accidental skin contact occur, remove immediately with plenty of clean water and seek
medical advice. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately- do not induce vomiting.

Mixing of NanoInjection Resin: Pour all the contents of Hardener pack into Base container.
Mix for 2 minutes or more until homogeneous. At extreme temperatures refer to gel time
information to enable required handling procedures to be adopted. Mechanical mixing
is preferable (i.e. Jiffy mixer in slow speed drill) ensuring that the sides and bottom of the
container are repeatedly scraped.
Injection: The product may be pumped into place using a standard ‘grease gun’ technique.
The size of the injection pump should be related to the job in hand. For small-scale jobs a small
Gun may be used. Where greater rates of injection are required a hand pump may be used,
or bulk supplies of NanoInjection Resin may be used with twin metering/mixing machines.
Connect the pump to the injection port using nylon reinforced PVC hose and clips. Injection
should commence at the widest part of the crack, or at the lower end if crack is uniform,
closing that port and transferring injection to the next when the resin is seen to have reached it.
12 to 18 hours after injection, the injection tubes should be broken off and any damage made
good using NanoMortar FEP.

NanoGrout EP
General purpose epoxy grout

Instruction for use Concrete surface preparation:

All contact surfaces must be free from oil, grease, freestanding water or any loosely
adherent material. Concrete surfaces should be cut back to a sound base. All dust must be
removed and bolt holes or fixing pockets blown clean of any dirt or debris.
Steel Surface preparation:
All steel surfaces should be shot blasted free of rust and flaky mill scale. Cleaned surfaces
may be protected by the application of NanoPrimer.
Shuttering:
The form work should be constructed to be leakproof as NanoGrout EP products are free-
flowing grouts. Loss of grout once the material is placed, but not hardened, will result
in incomplete filling of the gap. For free-flow grout conditions it is essential to provide a
hydrostatic head of grout. To achieve this a feeding hopper system should be used.
Placing:
Pour all the contents of the hardener pack into the base container. Mix using a slow speed
power drill and paddle until homogeneous. Pour all the liquid into a container with a capacity

NanoGrout Anchor
Two component epoxy anchoring grout

Description NanoGrout Anchor is a two component epoxy anchoring grout supplied in pre-measured
quantities. The material cures quickly to give consistent, high performance anchorages. The two
versions of NanoGrout Anchor are available.
Pourable grade use in vertical down holes where the hole is 8 to 40 mm greater in diameter

NanoGrout Anchor
Two component epoxy anchoring grout

Hole preparation and formation

Optimum performance of NanoGrout Anchor grouts requires rough sided, dust-free holes. Use
of rotary percussive drills with air or water flushing is recommended. Diamond drilled holes
should be under-reamed or the surface roughened with a drill steel. Cast holes should preferably
be of inverse dovetail configuration. If parallel sided holes are cast they should be rough to
provide adequate keying.
Bar preparation:
All bars should be deformed. They should preferably be degreased and all flaky rust removed.
Mixing:
A complete pack of resin and catalyzed filler should be mixed in one operation. Mixing may be
carried out manually or mechanically. When a smooth, even consistency is achieved the grout
is ready for use and should be placed well within the gel time of the grout. Packs have been
designed to produce practical and economic volumes of grout.
Do not attempt to mix partial pack components.
Pouring:
The mixed grout should be poured steadily from one side only to eliminate the entrapment of air.
Continuous grout flow is essential. Sufficient grout must be available prior to starting. The time
taken to pour a batch should be regulated to the time taken to prepare the next batch. To pour
a batch should be regulated to the time taken to prepare the next batch.
Consumption:
Volume of NanoGrout Anchor required in ml for each 100 mm of bond length. (200 mm bond
length is the minimum recommended.).

Placing:The concrete slab is ready for the NanoFloor Premix when a thumb pressed hard onto
the surface only leaves a ‘print’ of about 3 - 5 mm depth. Broadcast the mix evenly by hand
or with a suitable spreading device. Apply approximately 4.0 to 6.0 kg/m² in two applications.
With manual application the surface bleed water should be removed or allowed to evaporate
and NanoFloor Premix should be sprinkled onto the screeded concrete evenly in 2 stages: (1st
stage 4 kg/m2, 2nd stage 2 kg/m2). Care should be taken to apply the powder so as to avoid
creating ripples etc. in the concrete surface. Casting NanoFloor Premix powder carelessly or
further than 2 meters from point of casting will reduce the consistency of finish. Wait until the
NanoFloor Premix has been evenly moistened by the water in the concrete. The first stage
should be worked into the slab using a low speed mechanical trowel, held perfectly flat, followed
immediately with the sprinkling on of the second measurement of NanoFloor Premix. NanoFloor
Premix results in the slab surface becoming stiff more quickly than usual. Careful trimming
should take place along the edges where adjoining slabs are to be poured. Final finishing to close
pores and remove undulations can be achieved either by hand or power trowel.

Note: If parts of the surface come loose or if the laitance rises, this means the concrete is still
too fresh.

Shelf life 24 months if stored properly in original unopened packaging.
Instruction for use Surface preparation:
All surfaces should be clean, dry, free from oil, grease and chemical contamination. Concrete
surfaces should be free from laitance which should be removed by grit blasting or scarifying. If
it is not practical to grit blast or scarify, it is possible to acid etch the floor. However, precautions
must be made to prevent the concrete from absorbing excess moisture. It is recommended
that concrete substrates should not have a moisture content of more than 75% RH. This can
be assessed using a hair hygrometer covered with polythene for 24 hours as recommended by
BS 8203. Should the strength or the surface stability of the concrete base be in doubt, then
we recommend a trial patch of NanoFloor Screed be applied to assess its suitability. On highly
polished/power floated floors, mechanical preparation or acid etching will be necessary.
Priming:
NanoPrimer should be used. Mix NanoPrimer in the proportions supplied by adding the entire
contents of the hardener tin to the contents of the base tin and thoroughly mix. Once mixed
this should be applied to the substrate and rolled or brushed well in. If the NanoPrimer is totally
absorbed the substrate should be reprimed. The NanoFloor Screed should be applied between
15 minutes and 3 hours after the application of NanoPrimer, while the NanoPrimer is still tacky.

Nano vision (Pvt) Limited

NanoFloor Screed
Heavy duty, chemical and abrasion resistant epoxy floor screed

Mixing:
The NanoFloor Screed base and hardener components should be thoroughly mixed in the
base container. In cold conditions it will greatly aid mixing if the materials are stored in warm
conditions. Once the base and hardener are thoroughly mixed they should be transferred to a
suitable forced action mechanical mixer such as a crete angle the aggregate added slowly. Once
all the aggregate is added, mix thoroughly for 3 -4 minutes until a homogeneous mix is obtained.
Application:
The floor area can be divided into strips one meter wide with timber laths the thickness of the
required screed. The NanoFloor Screed is then laid in strips and worked into previously laid
sections and then allowed to harden. The mixed NanoFloor Screed should be raked evenly over
the primed surface and be tamped to ensure complete consolidation, then finished with a float
kept clean by wiping with a cloth dampened with NanoSolvent. NanoFloor Screed may be carried
up the wall to form a coving. Expansion joints in the floor must be maintained and filled with an
appropriate joint sealant. In wet areas where NanoFloor Screed is to be subjected to aggressive
chemical attack, it is recommended that the surface must be sealed with NanoCoat WB or
NanoCoat SB for added protection.
Cleaning & disposal All tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with NanoSolvent. Do not
dispose off into water or soil but according to local regulations.
Precautions & Limitations Minimum application temperature 5°C. It is recommended that concrete substrates should not
have a moisture content of more than 75% RH.
Health & safety NanoFloor Screed and NanoPrimer, like similar products, are capable of irritating unprotected
sensitive skin, we therefore recommend the use of a suitable barrier cream and the wearing of
gloves and goggles.

NanoCoat SF
Solvent free, epoxy resin coating

Storage Store in dry and cool place below 35oC. Protect from direct sunlight.

Shelf life 24 months if store properly in original unopened packaging.

Instruction for use Surface preparation:

The surface to be treated should be dry, sound and free from loose materials. New concrete
should be at least 28 days cured and have a moisture content of less than 5%. Damaged or worn
areas should be repaired using NanoMortar FEP. Any laitance should be removed by physical
methods or by acid etching. If the strength or the surface stability of the concrete base be in
doubt, then we recommend a trial patch of NanoCoat SF be applied to assess its suitability. On
highly polished/power floated floors, mechanical preparation or acid etching will be necessary.
Priming:
Concrete should be primed with NanoPrimer. NanoPrimer should be mixed in the proportions
supplied. Add the entire contents of the hardener can to the base can. When thoroughly mixed,
preferably using a slow speed drill and paddle, the primer should be applied in a thin continuous
film, using rollers or stiff brushes. Work the primer well into the surface of the concrete taking
care to avoid ponding or over application. The primer should be left to achieve a tack-free
condition before applying the top coat. A second coat of primer may be required if the substrate
is excessively porous.
Mixing:
The base and hardener components of NanoCoat SF should be thoroughly stirred before the
two are mixed together. The entire contents of the hardener container should be poured into the
base container and the two materials mixed thoroughly at least 3 minutes. The use of a heavy-
duty slow speed, flameproof or air driven drill fitted with a Mixing Paddle is desirable. Mix these
components in the quantities supplied taking care to ensure all containers are scraped clean.
Application:
The first coat of NanoCoat SF should be applied using a good quality medium haired pile roller,
suitable for epoxy application, or squeegee to achieve a continuous coating. Ensure that loose
hairs on the roller are removed before use. A minimum film thickness of 200 microns should be
applied. This can be increased where specifications demand. When the base coat has reached
initial cure (12 hours @ 20°C or 5 hours at 35°C). The top coat can be applied by medium
haired roller, at minimum film thickness of 200 microns. Care should be taken to ensure that a
continuous film is achieved.

Coverage:
NanoPrimer: 6-8 m2/litre
NanoCoat SF (base coat): 5.0m2/litre@200 microns wft
NanoCoat SF (top coat): 5.0m2/litre@200 microns wft
Cleaning & disposal NanoCoat SF should be removed from tools and equipment with NanoSolvent after use.
Hardened material can only be removed mechanically. Do not dispose off into water or soil but
according to local regulations.
Health & safety Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapours. Some people are sensitive to resins,
hardeners and solvents. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, and eye protection. If working
in confined areas, suitable respiratory protective equipment must be used. The use of barrier
creams provide additional skin protection. In case of contact with skin, rinse with plenty of clean
water, then cleanse with soap and water. Do not use solvent. In case of contact with eyes, rinse
immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. If swallowed, seek
medical attention immediately - do not induce vomiting.

Depending on the dry film thickness required, apply the rubberized bitumen coating @1–
4m²/lt./coat. On vertical areas, it is recommended to apply the coating in multiple layers
in order to avoid sagging of the heavy bodied coating. Subsequent coats shall be applied
only after the previous coat dries off completely and shall be applied at right angles to the
previous coat. Clean dry sand may be broadcasted onto the wet coating to provide a key
for the subsequent coats and achieve a greater dry film thickness. The coating should be
applied and finished up to the DPC level. If a plaster or cement render is to be applied on
the bitumen coated surface, clean dry sand shall be broadcasted on to the coating whilst it
is still wet. Leave the coating for curing for a minimum period of 48 hours before applying
any protection board or backfilling. Care shall be taken to ensure that the first coat is not
punctured during the application of the second coat. However, if the coating is damaged,
the area can be readily over coated provided the surface preparation is done properly.

NanoWaterstops PVC
Flexible PVC Waterstops

General Guide lines:

Experience has shown that application of a few simple rules will ensure a good result.
satisfactory result:
The overall width of the NanoWaterstops PVC should be at little less or equal to the
thickness of the concrete slab into which it is placed.
The overall width of the NanoWaterstops PVC should be at least six times the size of the
largest aggregate used.
Installation/Fixation:
Centrally Placed NanoWaterstops PVC:
Installation in the centre of the concrete structures. Easy anchoring of Nano Vision
NanoWaterstops PVC to reinforcement with special fixing clips (5 pieces per m).
Surface NanoWaterstops PVC:
Installation on the surface of the formwork or on the surface of the base/drylean concrete.
Joint Finishing Types:
Installation by pushing onto the formwork or onto the joint lining. Proper fixing of the
NanoWaterstops PVCs to the reinforcement (or formwork) is essential, as are the careful
pouring and compaction of the concrete. Fixing clips for internally placed NanoWaterstops
PVC are available.
Welding:
NanoWaterstops PVC are made from virgin thermoplastic PVC and can therefore be
welded easily. The ends are secured in a welding jig (available for each type) and heated
with suitable welding equipment (also available), until an even, molten bead of PVC appears.
The welding equipment is then removed and the molten ends pressed together firmly.
Junction Pieces:.
Junction pieces can easily be manufactured on site. However, a wide range of standardized,
factory made junction pieces, are available. All having a 30 cm free wing allowing easy butt-
welding at site. For non standard junction pieces drawings must be provided, giving exact
details required.
