STEP 1:

Remove the fan pulley assembly.

Save the hardware to reinstall the pulley


assembly after the crank pulley has been
installed.

STEP 2:

Remove two bolts from the crank pulley and install two
studs.

This will help with removal and installation on the


pulley. Stud

STEP 3:

Using the hydraulic jack wrap


the sling around the pulley.

Remove the rest of the bolts and drop the pulley down.

Save the hardware to reuse.


STEP 4:

Remove the crank dampener from the original crank pulley

STEP 5:

Place crank dampener on Pulley,


Crankshaft V Series (50100018)

The round edge of the dampener


needs to be AWAY from the
block when pulley is installed

STEP 6:

Install Spacer, Speed Wheel (50100020) over the pulley


on top of the dampener.
STEP 7:

With the engine side mark away from


you and in a counter clockwise
direction Count 20 teeth from the gap
on the timing wheel and place a mark

When installing the timing wheel line


the dot up with the middle of the crank
sensor then tighten the wheel to the
crank pulley.

STEP 8: 52500133
Install Indicator, NGE Timing Wheel (52500133) on the
dampener over the spacer.

Hand tight use:


6 pc Bolt, M10-1.50 x 40 HxHd Gr8.8 (35000151)

Place the wheel with the engine side mark up and


orientate the marked tooth so it will line up with the
crank sensor.

STEP 9:

Install Sensor, Speed, Timing Whl,3.0L (32500930) on


the Bracket, Crank Sensor V-series (50100021)

Use:
1 pc Bolt, M6-1.0x15 Flange Head (35000498)

STEP 10:

Secure the crank sensor and bracket to the front cover.

Use the left bottom two bolts that secure the cover to the
engine.

Leave the hardware hand tight.

STEP 11:

Before installing the crank pulley make sure the gold


spacer that was with the original pulley is installed over the
studs

STEP 12:

Using the hoist lift the crank


pulley/dampener assembly and install
over the studs.
STEP 13:

Bolt the crank pulley in place with the


original hardware.

The circular black spacer that was on the


original pulley needs to be installed with
the new pulley.

Reuse original hardware.

STEP 14:

With the crank wheel loose line up


the marked tooth with the center of
the crank sensor.

Tighten the 6 bolts that secure the


timing wheel to the crank pulley.

STEP 15:

Lock the flywheel in place and torque the crank


pulley.

Torque to 150 ft/lbs.

Mark each bolt to indicate the torque.


STEP 16:

Re install fan pulley with original hardware to the engine.

STEP 17:

Use a .025” feeler gauge to gap the crank spacer.

Tighten the crank sensor bracket and sensor once the


gap is set.

Check gap again after hardware is tight to verify it is


correct.

STEP 18:

Place Belt, Alternator V-Series (53000021) on the engine to be installed with the alternator.
