UWRT 1104
UWRT 1104 consisted of various studios and writing prompts. All Studio and Writing
explore web tools such as Google docs, Prezi, etc. After I explored and used various web tools, I
became familiar with associating a web tool with a certain audience. For example, Studio five
required me to make a “meme” and I understood that I could use the “meme” and a non-serious
tone as a tool to connect with younger audiences present on social media. In other Studios, such
as Studio six, I used my research/interview skills and storytelling ability to narrate living a life
through my great grandfather’s eyes. I can make a detailed and accurate narration about my great
grandfather’s life by researching and implementing a specific setting, a serious tone, and other
writing conventions. While some writing prompts and studios implemented storytelling, others
required me to use a formal tone to meet the situation. For instance, I heavily researched
writing’s history and designed Studio two as an informational Prezi so I maintained a formal and
professional tone to match the information. Throughout my time in UWRT, I was able to adapt
from assignment to assignment in order to tailor a writing style that matched the assignment's

grandparents spoke a language that was not the native language of their State. This information
left me intrigued so I want to pursue to learn more about my great grandparents’ lives. The
interview and research element of Studio six peaked my critical thinking skills and shaped my
motive to inquire and investigate further about my great grandparents' lives and where they came
