Latar Belakang : Penyakit ginjal kronik mengakibatkan penurunan fungsi ginjal
yang ireversibel, yang memerlukan terapi berupa transplantasi ginjal atau hemodialisis. Aktivitas hemodialisis yang rutin dijalani oleh pasien penyakit ginjal dapat berdampak pada hilangnya harapan yang memicu munculnya depresi. Salah satu aspek yang dapat mempengaruhi depresi adalah aspek spiritual, dimana hasil studi membuktikan bahwa spiritualitas yang baik berhubungan erat dengan tingkat depresi yang rendah. Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan skor spiritual dengan tingkat depresi pada pasien penyakit ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis di RSU. Haji Medan Tahun 2018. Metode : Dilakukan penelitian analitik Cross Sectional pada 30 pasien penyakit ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis di RSU. Haji Medan pada bulan Desember 2018. Pengukuran spiritual dilakukan dengan mengisi kuesioner FACIT Sp-12 dan pengukuran tingkat depresi menggunakan The Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II). Hasil : Didapatkan rerata skor spiritual 38,87 dengan rerata skor subskala Meaning (Arti Hidup) 13,07; Peace (Kedamaian) 11,87 dan Faith (Kepercayaan) 13,93. Tingkat depresi ringan sebanyak 8 orang (26,7%), sedang sebanyak 15 orang (50%), depresi berat sebanyak 2 orang (6,7%) dan tidak mengalami depresi sebanyak 5 orang (16,7%). Hasil analisis data antara skor spiritual dengan tingkat depresi menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar -0,890 dengan nilai p = 0,000, secara statistik menunjukkan korelasi negatif sangat kuat . Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan yang sangat kuat antara skor spiritual dengan tingkat depresi pada pasien penyakit ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis. Background: Chronic kidney disease result an irreversible decrease in kidney
function, that requires treatment in the form of kidney transplantation or hemodialysis. Patients with kidney disease who routinely undertake hemodialysis may have an influence on the loss of hope that triggers depression. One aspect that can affect depression is the spiritual aspect, which the results of the study prove that good spirituality is closely related to mild depression. Objective: To determine the correlation between spiritual scores and depression levels in patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis at the RSU. Haji Medan in 2018. Methods: Analytic method with cross sectional design was conducted on 30 chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at the RSU. Haji Medan in December 2018. Spiritual measurements were conducted by filling out the FACIT Sp-12 questionnaire and measurements of depression levels measured by The Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II). Results: The average spiritual score of 38.87 was obtained with mean score of the Meaning 13.07; Peace 11.87 and Faith 13.93. The level of mild depression owned by 8 people (26.7%), moderate owned by 15 people (50%), severe depression owned by 2 people (6.7%) and did not experience depression owned by 5 people (16.7%). The results of data analysis between spiritual scores and depression levels showed a correlation coefficient (r) of -0.890 with a value of p = 0,000, statistically showing a very strong negative correlation. Conclusions: Spiritual scores and depression levels in patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis wield a firm correlation.
