SECTION 1

Safety Check

INSTRUCTIONS
Perform a Safety Check prior to each and every Vrearms exercise.

It is absolutely imperative that you always know the status of each of your Vrearms. You
must ensure that the Vrearm's status mirrors the intended use.

Regardless of the Vrearm’s condition or status, always treat every Vrearm as if it were
loaded. Always keep Vrearms pointed in safe directions, with your Vnger off the trigger
when not engaging your intended target.

For dry-Vre exercises, always ensure your Vrearm and magazines are unloaded and there
is no ammunition anywhere near the dedicated dry-Vre area. Before each exercise, remove
and/or empty any magazine (internal or external) and triple check, with visual
conVrmation, that the chamber is completely clear of any ammunition. NEVER clear the
chamber of a semi-automatic weapon while a loaded magazine is still in the Vrearm.

SECTION 2

Gun Work

INSTRUCTIONS
PISTOL Outside-The-Waistband (OWB)
Focus: Marksmanship / GroupingSub-Focus: Target point of impact focus, grip, draw and
sight picture
Elevated Heart Rate: N/A
Start Position: Standing Arms in surrender position
Target: 1” dot at 5yds
Drill:
From the holster; complete 10 draws to full presentation. Look at your target and focus on

your point of impact. Draw, ensuring you are getting the same proper grip every time. Drive
the gun up and then straight out to your focus point picking up the FRONT SIGHT POST /
RED DOT SIGHT while you are pushing the gun out. Proper sight alignment should occur
on your point of focus the desired point of impact on the target. Maintain complete focus
on the top center of the FRONT SIGHT POST / RED DOT SIGHT only and take one well-
aimed shot. Keep the trigger depressed to the rear and re-rack the slide. Re-establish grip,
reacquire sights on target then release the trigger just far enough to reset. Ensure focus
remains on FRONT SIGHT POST / RED DOT SIGHT only while trigger resets. Holster the
pistol and continue for 10 iterations. Take no less than a two-minute break between every
10 iterations. Practice drill no longer than 25 minutes.

PISTOL Concealed Carry (CC)


Focus: Marksmanship / Grouping
Sub-Focus: Target point of impact focus, grip, draw and sight picture
Elevated Heart Rate: N/A
Start Position: Standing Arms to side
Target: 2” dot at 5yds
Drill:
From the holster; clear clothing, complete 10 draws to full presentation. Look at your
target and focus on your point of impact. Draw, ensuring you are getting the same proper
grip every time. Drive the gun up and then straight out to your focus point picking up the
FRONT SIGHT POST while you are pushing the gun out. Proper sight alignment should
occur on your point of focus the desired point of impact on the target. Maintain complete
focus on the top center of the FRONT SIGHT POST only and take one well-aimed shot.
Keep the trigger depressed to the rear and re-rack the slide. Re-establish grip, reacquire
sights on target then release the trigger just far enough to reset. Ensure focus remains on
front sight post only while trigger resets. Holster the pistol and continue for 10 iterations.

CARBINE

Start Position: High Ready


Target: 1” dot at 5yds
Drill:
From the high ready; complete 10 engagements, maintain complete focus on the reticle or
front sight post only and take one well-aimed shot. Keep the trigger depressed to the rear
and re-rack the bolt. Re-establish grip, maintain sights on target then release the trigger
just far enough to reset. Ensure focus remains on reticle only while trigger resets. Return
to high ready and continue for 10 total iterations. Take no less than a two-minute break
between every 10 iterations. Practice drill no longer than 25 minutes.
