1. Target group
This Engine 2-Stroke DF Operation (2-S DF O) training is intended for ship’s

crew, for marine engineering personnel watch keeping engineers and operators
with responsibilities related to daily shipboard operation of vessels, 2-stroke dual
fuel (DF) engine systems. This training is also suitable for superintendents and
fleet managers to get a good overview.
2. Prerequisites
The trainees should have a good knowledge and operational experience of 2-
stroke Engines. Theoretical education on internal combustion engines is
preferred.

3. Objective
The participants will understand the design, operation and basic maintenance of
the engine. Target of the Engine 2-Stroke DF Operation course is that the
participants know the additions to the electronic controlled 2-stroke engines,
have detailed knowledge about dual fuel (DF) engine components, hydraulic &
pneumatic system, UNIC control system included hardware, operation modes
(Fuel/GAS), cylinder lubrication system and service aspects.
The course can be also arranged at other location, if training hardware is available.

Use of simulator for real situations and troubleshooting topics
There is a fifty per cent (50% of course price) cancellation fee if WinGD receives the
non-attendance notification between fourteen (14) and seven (7) calendar dates before
the course starting date.
There is a one hundred per cent (100% full course price) cancellation fee if WinGD
receives the non-attendance notification less than seven (7) calendar days before the
course starting date.
