OUR COMPANY STRUCTURE

After several years of product development to produce a product for

the cold challenging climate of Scandinavia, Shipping Container
Homes Australia saw merit in the product for the Southern
Hemisphere.

The directors have drawn on more than 40 years experience in

logistics, business management, manufacturing, container
consultancy and product innovation to develop and produce a world
leading, highly versatile modular building solution.

Our manufacturer is a family owned business which was incorporated

in 1975. They are one of Europe’s last container manufacturers who
still build 100% of their products and maintain capital in excess of 5.2
Million EUR. The company now has some 5 production lines in place
producing containers, specialty containers, car transporters, safety
rail / barriers for highways and accommodation solutions. They
employ over 150 staff and all their production processes are
undertaken according to ISO 9001:2000.
OUR COMPANY STRUCTURE (CONT)

We have formed key alliances with proven market providers enabling us to offer
full turnkey solutions for remote camps. A complete service package includes
camp design, civil works, footing instillation, building supply (beds and central
services), building instillation, concrete works, sewage treatment services,
power and potable water solutions.
Our install, management and finance partners have completed resource work
around Australia and currently own some 3000 beds which they fully manage.
They are now going to be using HAS buildings because of quality issues they
have had with other building providers.
AUSTRALIAN & GLOBAL
STANDARDS / CERTIFICATIONS
We maintain a high focus on the quality and performance of our
products. As a direct result, we sought out manufacturing partners
in Europe (against the trend of Asian produced product) who
maintain our environmental ethics, are internationally accredited
Designed in Australia
and renowned for their workmanship.

Our units are all manufactured under stringent quality management

systems and meet / exceed standards for both portable and
permanent buildings in both Australia and Europe.
Made in Italy
Accreditations include:
IQ Net / ISO 9001:2001
International Certification for QMS.
CISQ/RINA
Structural Integrity and global shipping approval for product
BCA
Building Code Of Australia regions 1 – 8 (extremely hot to arctic) and
cyclonic regions A to D.
ENERGY RATING
HAS buildings have energy ratings from 5 star to 6 and a half star across
all states of Australia.
GLOBAL SOLUTIONS

Our customers are faced with a growing list of requirements as the world moves
towards a global system. A key focus for our products and delivery is the
adaptability the product has for all industries and continents to ensure our
customers can meet any of their challenges globally.

In designing and manufacturing our buildings, we aim to assist our customers in

addressing their global needs by:

Improving living standards for employees

Reducing geographical footprints camps take up
Creating buildings that perform at optimal levels in hot, cold and humid
environments
Improving the life cycle costs of buildings
Reducing delivery times and project start dates through high level production
Improving logistical capacity of buildings
Reducing energy consumption and adhering to environmental / carbon
emission policies
Reducing commissioning / decommissioning times and safety systems
Focussing on the bottom line
GLOBAL DELIVERY

It is important to service our client’s needs globally to ensure they can take delivery of
the product anywhere in the world. In designing units, we have specifically configured
each shell to the standard size, strength and loading points of standard 20 and 40 foot
high cubic shipping container. Units can be modified to other sizes however it reduces
their adaptability to all transport methods.

As such, the product is compatible to worldwide logistic standards and requires no

specialised machinery or oversized transport to move or position it.

Our customers can take receipt of the product anywhere in the world by
conventional air, sea, road and rail transport methods.

In addition to logistical benefits for the global market, our technology allows our units
to be assembled and disassembled without any damage to the structures. This enables
our units to be redeployed and used at other locations around the world time after
time.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
FEATURES & BENEFITS

All buildings are highly insulated through walls, roof and floor.
As a standard feature they also come fitted with double glazed windows and
thermal doors with insulated frames.
The thermal quality of the buildings mean the building is undertaking the
major heating and cooling function. The buildings maintain a comfortable
internal temperature in + 40 or – 40 degrees with little to no assistance from
heating / cooling devices.
By maintaining an internal temperature our units have eliminated internal
sweating which causes condensation, rot, mould and mustiness. The build up
of moisture in buildings reduces the useable lifespan of buildings and
furnishings.
Keeping a dry internal environment makes the units very hygienic, sterile and
most importantly comfortable for the occupants / users of our systems.
Buildings are stackable with no need for additional reinforcement which can
reduce site footprints and costs.
All buildings are extremely energy efficient and maintain a 5 Star + Energy
rating throughout Australia.
Buildings can be modulised together easily with no permanent damage to
structures so they can be packed up and moved again.
Standard designs are available or we can customise to suit our clients needs.

ENERGY EFFIENCY
All buildings are extremely energy efficient and maintain a
5 Star + Energy rating throughout Australia.

Below is a brief table of how the units components rate compared to

Standard Building Code of Australia benchmarks:

Units BCA Minimum BCA Minimum

R Ratings Cold Areas Hot Areas

Walls R 4.15 3.3 1.9

Roof R 5.7 4.8 2.7

Floors R 61.88 2 0

A standard house brick has an R rating or thermal insulation quality

of R 0.38. Our walls are equivalent to approximately 1.5 meters of
solid brick.
REDUCTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
By enabling our units to reduce environmental impact
and encroachment we can also reduce site works,
footprints and costs associated with restoration of
sites to their original green field state.

Buildings can be combined together in clusters centralising a camp

and reducing the span of site works needed.

Option to go multi storey with no change to the structure of the

buildings.

Reduced footing requirements for standalone (4 piers – units

supplied by competitors currently require 8 piers) and elimination
altogether for complex designs as the attachment of each
additional unit increases the floor span to weight ratio (4 units
together 20+ tonne require no hold down in cyclone Region D).
PRODUCTION LINE
MANUFACTURING
PRODUCTION LINE MANUFACTURING
There are many benefits to off site manufacturing of modular
buildings in a controlled environment including:
- Reduces Waste
- Improves OH&S conditions
- Increases capacity to produce volume
- Improves quality control
- Improves the consistency of the finished product
- Reduces commissioning times on site

The production line for beds currently has a maximum capacity of 75

completed 40 foot units a week to ensure prompt delivery for multiple large
projects.
COST COMPARISON

We recognise that there are additional costs

our customers must absorb on top of the cap ex costs
of their building purchases. We understand these points
and look where possible to reduce these costs through
the utilisation of our technology.

We maintain a strong focus on being price competitive whilst

simultaneously reducing our customers energy consumption, transport,
commissioning / decommissioning costs and providing a quality product.
This combined with an asset that has a full 50 to 80 year life cycle, the
ability to deliver projects early and occupant satisfaction makes investment
into HAS systems extremely cost effective.

Our products vary in cost depending on their purpose, options, quantity

and point of delivery in the world.
Our product is not a new cheap alternative, however our clients can be
assured it is durable, reliable and cost competitive.
