their understanding
Estimated Duration:
Students will be provided with three class periods two forty minutes and one thirty minute. Each group will make their own
powerpoint presentation
Student will present no longer than 5 minutes per groups there are 7 groups so we will do this over 2 days 3 groups will present

Commentary: I want to approach this lesson as part of an end of unit review this lesson would be precluded by multiple week of
grammar study and would take place before a grammar unit test.
Instructional Procedures: For this lesson we will be learning about relative pronouns, progressive verb tenses, modal
auxiliaries, order adjectives, prepositional phrases, how to complete sentences, correcting run-ons and we will learn how to use
frequently confused words (e.g., to, too, two; there, their). Students will split up into groups and make a powerpoint presentation
on computers for one of the objectives I previously stated. Students will present their lessons to the class. To wrap up the lesson I
will be able to gauge how well the students learned the objectives by playing a Kahoot! on computers, the Kahoot! will consist of
sentences with blanks, students will need to fill in the blank correctly.

sections one for each area of focus (relative pronouns, progressive verb tenses, modal auxiliaries, order adjectives,
prepositional phrases, how to complete sentences, correct run-ons and ,we will learn how to use frequently confused
words (e.g., to, too, two; there, their)). Each section will have 5 questions for a total of 35 questions. I will be able to
gauge the students understanding based on their answers.
Post-Assessment:
For post assessment my students will take a written unit test consisting of 21 questions. There will be 2 written questions and 1
multiple choice question for each learning objective
Scoring Guidelines:
This exam will be percentage based. I will also grade the powerpoints.
