EXPRESSION MODULE

DESCRIPTION
The goal of my project is to show the effects that a child can face in
school if they the help that revise doesn’t help them when a teacher
doesn’t understand their problem.

PROJECT MEDIUM (MULTIMEDIA)

To show the effects of school has on a child who isn’t prepared for
life through a child book/visual essay/digital graphics. The story will
progress as he grows up and slowly realizes that isn’t prepared for
life and decides that he doesn’t want other kids to grow up like he
did. he does this by becoming a teacher to help kids that struggled
like he did.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF MULTIMEDIA

With a child book, it will be easy to read, and anyone can read it.

POTENTIAL CHALLENGES OF MULTIMEDIA

A potential challenge that I will probably run into is that the wrong
message gets a cross. People could think too much about the
message and that could throw a wrench in people understanding a
childs book when it doesn’t go in-depth about the topic.

him doesn’t end up the same

ARTIST STATEMENT
My philosophy is, teachers should prepare their students for where
they want to go in life. Not all student is going to be doctors so why
do schools treat students like they are. There were plenty of people
in my high school who didn’t understand why they were going to
school; they didn’t have plans on going to college and were largely
unprepared for what was going to happen next in their life. They
took classes they weren’t going to use later in their life and they only
cared about getting a passing grade. To me going to become a high
school teacher that does not seem right, there is no purpose to class
if a student only tries to get the bare minimum. Students should
want to do good in classes that they want to take because they
know they are going to use it later in their life. The reason that I’m
going to teach English is because my English teachers were these
supportive teachers and wanted their student to do good in their
classes. A course that I found very useful in high school was
technical writing, however the only way to take this class was if you
took three previous terms of college English. Technical writing went
over ways to write emails, instructions and how to communicate
within a group or get a message across. Their were times in high
school when my teachers mentioned these things but if they did it as
only for a little bit, this course was dedicated to teaching students
these skills and I found it very confusing that this was my last
English course and I had to take far more difficult classes to be able

to take such a simple class that everyone should take. I don’t want
kids to end up confused in high school like I was, its already a
confusing time for them as is.
